What I don't understand is every poll says Americans overwhelmingly are against the bailout, even the poll on CNN (by a 50 to 1 margin, according to my wife). And yet, McCain is getting trashed in the election polls because of the economy.

Fox News now trashing McCain over his suspending of his campaign and delaying the bailout agreement. It is not true, but that is what is being reported. Game over. Welcome back to the Senate, John McCain.

What I don't understand is every poll says Americans overwhelmingly are against the bailout, even the poll on CNN (by a 50 to 1 margin, according to my wife). And yet, McCain is getting trashed in the election polls because of the economy. Americans are outraged that our economy is threatened with imminent collapse and we're only being told about it, and asked to spend OUR money to bail it out, at the eleventh hour.
The reason McCain's poll numbers are going down is that the Dim Congress, with the help of the MSM, has been hugely successful in creating the impression that the Bush Administration's fiscal policy and lack of oversight is the entire cause of this. And, McCain = Bush, therefore John McCain himself practically single-handedly caused the economic collapse of the United States of America. Our side hasn't found a way to fight back against the Democrat control of the MSM and their free pass to mold public perception for the past many years. This is just an extension of the same old thing, and I'm afraid it's going to win the election for the Obamessiah.
