not only to believe on Him,
but also to suffer for His sake.
May Your Holy Eyes be upon those who gather here today, Lord, and may Your Ears be attentive to our prayers. We bow before You in praise and adoration for being our Creator, and for sending Your Son, Jesus Christ to be born of a virgin in lowly humbleness, to live among us, and to die in payment for our sins so that our fellowship with You might be restored. Father, help us to never turn away from that fellowship or allow our lives to be used by satan. Impart to us the urgency of sharing Your love with others, so that more may come to know You and accept Your gift of eternal life.
Thank You for America, Lord, and bless this land of ours. At times we fear because of the political vitriol and the encroachment against our freedoms, but we know that You see all that happens and You are still in control. Lord, we treasure the freedom we have to worship You as we please, and yet we see signs that there are those who want that freedom taken from us. Father, in the midst of our fears, we know that we must be still and remember that You are God. We acknowledge that there have been many battles throughout America's history in which brave men and women have had to stand up and profess the truth. We simply ask You to give us the wisdom, the discernment, and the courage to prevail in difficult times.
We come with grateful hearts to seek Your blessings for the President You have chosen for us, Lord. How many times throughout the past years we have seen Your work in him and have known that Your hand was upon him. Thank You, Father, for equipping us with a man of God who is unashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. You are his God who teaches him what is best. You direct him in the way he should go. We praise You for the counsel You provide him, for You are his understanding and his strength.
Lord, we ask You to strengthen John McCain and Sarah Palin for the huge battle they face. They have the truth on their side and yet they continuously must fight to get their message accurately represented to the public. Uphold them with the right hand of Your righteousness, Gracious Lord. Move mightily in the hearts of all voters to elect pro-life candidates to office so that we can take another step toward You by honoring the precious lives You have created.
God, You Who are ever watchful and know all that takes place in heaven and earth, grant Your powerful protection upon all who are serving in American military units. Please guard them from all harm and danger of body and soul as You grant success in each battle that moves nations toward justice and lasting peace, for Your glory. May the last vestiges of insurrection and terrorism be overcome.
Help each of us to remember our many blessings this week and always, Lord. We come before You with praise for Your faithfulness to those who faithfully gather at this prayer thread each day. To You be all the praise and honor, the glory and blessing, Great God! In the awesome Name of Jesus Christ we pray. Amen.

Thank You, Lord, for President Bush. He has withstood slings and arrows, while taking Iraq away as a political issue.
Many have stood in his way, creating insurmountable obstacles on homeland issues. Those same ones, who have worked against him, have worked to put this country in a difficult monetary position.
Some give him low marks for managing this country, but his marks are still better than our Congress, which IS FULL of self serving bureaucrats, disinterested in serving us, the citizens of their country. They would rather make millions of dollars for their own pockets, than maintain a healthy supportive allegiance with others in their House.
Lord, thank You for John McCain, who may have trumped the One who would be King.
Strengthen our resolve to clean out the trash from this government, and put this “one nation under God” on the path to a richer glory in Your name, Jesus.

Thank you Lord for President George W. Bush, thank you for being with him tonight as he addressed the American Public, on the needs of the country’s economy. I pray that you will help America in the upcoming weeks to resolve some of it’s worry over the economy, and restore calm to our markets. I was proud of President Bush tonight, he was the answer to my prayers when he was elected in 2000 ,and when ge was re-elected in 2004, and tonight I am just as greatful that he is in the Oval Office, and you are by his side. Thank you.
I know Lord that it is not monetary wealth that is the most important, but it does help alot of people not to worry so much about how they are going to pay their bills and pay for their houses.
I want to thank you for Senator John S. McCain, and Gov. Sarah Palin, I pray that you will be with them every step of the way , and protect them, and guide them. Please be with John and Sarah’s families, and protect them, and make their lives wonderful, as John and Sarah try to tackle some of the problems of this country, as they run for President.
I pray that the enemies of President George W. Bush, Senator John S. McCain, and Gov Sarah Palin will not succeed in their evil deeds. A special Prayer for McCain and Palin as they continue their campaigns, make their journey easy and successful.
I pray for our troops, who are protecting us, and their safety.
