They think Republicans win every four years because the American people are stupid. That's their honest opinion of us!

Once again, Clarence Page skids in to the ditch.

Obama asked Bill Clinton if he could borrow his huge Bible to use as a prop. Clinton said he’d try to find it...

As in, Republicans are dumb...... the reasons Democrats lose, when they do, is that they completely misjudge the intellect of the Republican party. They conjure up visions of rednecks, idiots, hillbillies, and the like. In reality, they fail to realize that it is their base who are the northern, left-coast and urban equivalent of what they ascribe to Republicans.

That is why liberals keep losing. They think Americans are too dumb to make their own decisions. Last I checked, it was the Harvard-and-Yale-educated elite that just decimated the financial sector and put dumb working Americans on the hook for over a trillion dollars. McCain needs to hit this subject and hit it hard.

And they think the voters are actually too dumb to notice the condescension.

Dumb it down? Heck, the Obamaloon defines dumb.

And, the article is written by a journalist telling us that we are dumb, eh? Hey journalo-loon, remember that you are there because you can do nothing else - except perhaps for politics. For you, the operation of a light bulb constitutes a graduate course in physics.

For liberals, “smarter” equals non-stop puffery about change, hope, diversity, sensitivity, peace, love and rock-n-roll. If those themes are “smart”, then Lord please keep me dumb.

I don't need to give that advice to the Republicans. They've been dumbing it down for years. That's why they keep winning.

In other words Clarence you finally figured it out, eh? How could a bright mind like you have taken so long? Were you stuck on stupid?

Page is a Pulitzer Prize-winning syndicated columnist specializing in urban issues. He is based in Washington, D.C.

There ya' go. That explains it all.

Clarity and succinctness is not dumb it is called effective communication. Liberals can’t package their liberal crap in a few sentences because that leaves them little opportunity to hide from the public what they really believe.

OK, let's dumb it down for Clarence.

Republicans have been right about welfare reform.

Republicans have been right that tax cuts would spur the economy.

Republicans have been right about where appeasement would get us in foreign policy.

Republicans were right about Fanny Mae and Freddie Mac.

Republican policies have toppled Saddam Hussein, the Taliban, and Khadafi, while freeing twenty six million in Iraq. Our willingness to stand and shed blood without running has eliminated the reason we were attacked on 9-11, lack of respect for what we might do when attacked. Osama bin Laden is afraid to come out of hiding.

Clarence Page is dwelling on what has been said, instead of events that have occurred, pretty dumb already, in my book.

Democrats have been wrong about all these issues, and events back me up. They can't "dumb it down", if they do, they lose. This is why we get spin, er, uh, dissembling, and er, uh, obfuscation from them, they must nuance, they cannot shoot straight because events belie any words they could come up with.

What is being said here? McCain is dumb but Obama is smart? How is that even possible?

Someone needs to start digging out pieces from 2000 and 2004 where the same columnists fawned over McCain.

Dumb it down?

Have they actually listened to any of his speeches at events that aren’t orchestrated to the extreme? Were he elected we’d have far more “Oh my G-d our President is a moron.” moments due to misspeaking than we ever got from Bush.

Heh. Hussein reminds me of “Martin Prince” on the Simpsons. Sounds real smart in the classroom, but in the real world, he hasn’t a clue.
