Election 2008: Since we first drew attention to Barack Obama's Afrocentric church a full 12 months ago, other media have weighed in. And additional disturbing information has come to light. At the core of the Democratic front-runner's faith — whether lapsed Muslim, new Christian or some mixture of the two — is African nativism, which raises political issues of its own.

In 1991, when Obama joined the Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago, he pledged allegiance to something called the Black Value System, which is a code of non-Biblical ethics written by blacks, for blacks. Wright makes the Rev. Jesse Jackson look almost moderate and patriotic. Yet this is whom Obama picked to baptize his daughters, plus to act as his "sounding board" during his presidential run.

The candidate already has heeded his church's "nonnegotiable commitment to Africa," spending an inordinate amount of his campaign time on the Kenyan crisis, for one. Obama has close family ties to Kenya, and even founded a school in his ancestral village — the Senator Obama School.

In the bloody conflict there, which already has claimed some 700 lives, Obama appears to have sided with opposition leader Raila Odinga, head of the same Luo tribe to which Obama's late Muslim father belonged.

Obama's older brother still lives there. Abongo "Roy" Obama is a Luo activist and a militant Muslim who argues that the black man must "liberate himself from the poisoning influences of European culture." He urges his younger brother to embrace his African heritage.

Beyond family politics, these ties have potential foreign policy, even national security, implications.

Odinga is a Marxist who reportedly has made a pact with a hard-line Islamic group in Kenya to establish Shariah courts throughout the country.

Jack Cashill is making a pretty good case that the unrepentant terrorist William Ayers may have written at least one of Obama’s books for him.

I read that article and found it interesting.

I think a better case can be made, that Ayers "polished" Obama's fable, "Dreams..." Obama had blown one advance and accepted a second, so he had more than an outline, but not a book. As Cashill points out, some of the language in "Dreams..." had to have come from someone like an English professor.

It would have been mutually beneficial to both men who have been associated since 1985 and worked many projects together.

I have read that there are allegations that Obama had lots of friendly editors on "Audicity," including David Axelrod.

That "Senator Obama School" is just pathetic. He's one of those types desperately in need of monuments to himself. If his head were any more swelled up you could just tie a string to his ankle and float him from campaign stop to campaign stop.

Given that his close relatives are radical Islamists bent on forcing the people to bow under Sharia law, I wonder: is the Senator Obama School secular??

Granting us access to the school and its records, Principal Obiero, 48, tells us: “Senator Obama has not honoured the promises he gave me when we met in 2006 and in his earlier letter to the school. He has not given us even one shilling. But we still have hope.”

Where are the Rev Wright ads? I thought everyone had heard of him by now and his “GD America”.

I was in my small town, red state beauty shop last week and talking about the election with the ladies there, (all are voting for McCain) but - several of them said they had never heard of Obama’s preacher or what he had said and their jaws dropped when I told them.

That's only half right. You're right that he's a communist, but he's a religious one, and his religion is Black Liberation Theology. It's racism wrapped in a pretty Christian package.

Ok, I feel better already! I would LOVE to see more of Rev. Wright come out or Ayers...or Farrakhan connection, Father Phleger.....now before the tightening of this race...as from polling 85-86% of voters said they will not change their vote....BUT, will take what is coming. There is plenty, plenty of BAD STUFF, scary stuff on O...and I welcome the chickens coming home to roost!!!

As for Obamas baptizing. I doubt people of different religions really care or if there is sufficient evidence that he was not baptized. What he did in Kenya for the muslim backed election candidate and the fact both of his fathers, step father and father were MUSLIMS...and influenced him is enough to scare the dickins out of us...and should be constantly thrown on the voters. THERE is plenty of truths that need to be revealed, hammered on and reminded of voters on this guy.

Neighbors who are good americans but not too political were planning on sitting this election out because “they both suck”, to quote them yesterday.
Today, he is passing around the YouTube of “Nah,nah,nah, GD America, that’s in the bible for killing innocent people....” as well as the National Anthem where Barack refuses to salute the flag.

We do know that 50% of Americans seem not to care whether the Messiah is a socialist pacifist. This election will be decided by the debates and whether Indies and Reagan Dems realize what an incompetent this guy would be with economic issues and foreign policy. I’m coming around to the theory that it was Ayers who actually ghost-wrote “Dreams From my Father”. I don’t have the skills of a forensic literary analysis and I haven’t had the time to go over “Fugitive Days” but I’ve read the Cashill article that says the styles are similar.

This could be laid to rest easily but for the fact that Obama has written nothing, absolutely nothing else over his career. Which is absolutely bizarre for a former president of the Harvard Law Review (it’s actually “president”, according to the Law Review website, the student editors number about 43 and they elect a president from among themselves) and a junior constitutional law lecturer Chicago University.

It is now known that they almost certainly knew each other as far back as Obama’s Columbia University days in the early eighties.
