7 Years Later, 9/11 Hijackers’ Remains Are in Limbo

Seven years after the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, the remains of 13 of the 19 men responsible have been identified and are in the custody of the F.B.I. and the New York City medical examiner’s office.

But no one has formally requested the remains in order to bury them.

“Politically, one can understand that this is a hot potato,” said Muneer Fareed, secretary general of the Islamic Society of North America and a former professor of Islamic studies. “People don’t want to identify with the political equivalent of Jeffrey Dahmer.”

What would happen if someone asked for the hijackers’ remains is not clear.

Many heroes and honorable people are given this type of interment at sea. I say feed Atta and his Satanic crew to the pigs.

I propose that we put them in the next shipment of radioactive waste.

Honestly...I am shocked that here was anything LEFT to identify, much less bury. You'd think that slamming into a concrete-and-steel building at 500 miles an hour would prety much turn a human body to so much hash.

7 YEARS! For what reason, incinerate them and let their ashes be mixed with the ashes of garbage (apologies to the garbage).

They don't deserve a decent burial, or a grave. Their "loonies in arms" don't mind desecrating non-Muslim bodies, if they ever return them.

I never understood why the Israelis give back the remains of homicide bombers, throw the remains in the sewer.
