The son of Florida 2ND District Congressman Allen Boyd remains in custody in Arizona on charges of illegal immigrant smuggling.

Authorities say 30-year old John Boyd was stopped at a border patrol checkpoint near Willcox, Arizona Sunday. Federal prosecutors say he was smuggling 4 adults and a 6-year old girl, and that Boyd later admitted knowing they had entered the country illegally.

Border patrol agents say they also discovered drugs, knives and a loaded gun in Boyd's truck.

When contacted by Eyewitness news, congressman Boyd said John had made some poor choices and would have to be held accountable, but that his family loved him and stands by him.

Boyd also said he has yet to see an arrest report, or talk to his son.

Welcome to Name That Party, the exciting game where you have to determine which party a scandal plagued politician just by reading the article.

Please read the article and see if you can tell what party Boyd.

Ah, I should have known. When there’s no party affiliation in the first paragraph, the person is always a Democrat.

John Boyd was driving a Ford pickup truck near Willcox on Sunday when he stopped at a Border Patrol checkpoint, according to a criminal complaint.

A Border Patrol dog was alerted to the possible presence of illegal immigrants, and an agent saw a person hiding under a piece of plywood in the bed of the truck, the complaint said.

The agent asked Boyd to turn off the truck’s engine and continued the search, finding an unaccompanied 6-year-old girl in the passenger seat and two people lying on the floorboard behind the front seat, according to the complaint, filed in U.S. District Court.

Agents found two more people hiding under the piece of plywood in the bed of the truck.

The people admitted they were not U.S. citizens and did not have permission to be in the country, the complaint said. Another inspection uncovered two plastic bags that contained several rocks of crystal methamphetamine, four unopened syringes, a spoon with white residue and burn marks on the bottom, and three knives, the complaint said.

Agents also found a Beretta 22LR pistol loaded with eight rounds of ammunition and a spare magazine loaded with eight rounds of ammunition in a suitcase in the truck’s bed. The 6-year-old was not related to Boyd, and her parents were located and they were reunited, the complaint said.

The group members were going to pay $3,000 each to be smuggled into the country and transported to their final destination, the complaint states.

I’ve heard of “getting out the vote” but going to Mexico to pick them up is a little over the top.

This is a fun game, and it’s like the game, “Name that criminal’s race” that I play here in Maryland a lot when reading about a crime in the Baltimore Sun.

See, here is the best part, we automatically know the party when it’s left out of the story.

So this DemocRaphead is going to go to Federal Prison for violating gun laws, rights? Like Ramos and Campion? The law they were prosecuted for was to punish drug smugglers. Welcome to the pen.

The denizens of the MSM are just blindly following precedent: Pravda didn’t have to mention Stalin’s party affiliation every time they wrote about him, after all.

Look on the bright side. He’ll have a bi-partisan job under Obama/McCain managing the Illegal to U.S. citizen Welcome Wagon in Florida after his slap on the wrist probation is up.

This is my representative. He has competition this time. Maybe this is what it takes to get him unseated. He is a Blue Dog in conservative NW Florida.

I have contributed to and volunteered to help Mark Mulligan, R., win this election.
