Washington, DC -- The liberal Salon magazine released a news article on Monday attempting to dig up dirt on vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin. The article claims Palin was involved in an effort to stop abortions at a local hospital, but the Salon piece leaves out the rest of the story.
While Salon appears to believe there is a problem with Palin and a local hospital opting out of doing abortions, it fails to cover how Obama backers are resisting efforts to protect such hospitals from being forced to do them.

the major talking that was on Hannity last night he DID NOT counter is that Palin would not pay for rape victims ER visits in Wasilla. I thought that this was a law in effect when she took office and eventually at some point it was changed. Perhaps she had a chance in changing it.
I think that it’s becoming clear, that SHE needs to get out there and take on these questions directly.

First, the Chief of Police in Wasilla (not Palin) did apparently have a policy of asking a victim’s health insurance to pay for the rape kit as part of the ER visit. This, it turns out, is policy in a number of states, including Missouri and North Carolina. Second, the way this became an issue was after the then-governor of Alaska signed a bill forbidding it; this law was signed before Palin was Governor and no one tried to reverse it while she was Governor. Third, what the CoP in Wasilla wanted to do was charge the perpetrator as part of restitution"

SHE NEEDS to get on Hannity or anyone for that matter, and disclaim each one of these malicious rumors and lies going on out there one by one. Troopergate, rape kits, per diem, taxes etc and get this thing behind her.
