Sarah Palin to address anti-Iran rally
Press TV (Iran) ^ | 9/16/08 | staff

The Republican vice presidential pick, Sarah Palin, will address an anti-Iranian gathering which is organized by a Jewish organization.

The Jewish-sponsored rally will be held next week to protest against President Ahmadinejad's arrival in New York for the UN General Assembly, the Jewish Telegraphic Agency reported on Tuesday.

The Conference of Presidents of Major American Organizations, which is the key organizer of the rally, has declared that in addition to Palin, other US officials including Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton and Jewish leaders will also speak at the rally.

The rally will be held in front of the UN headquarters on Sep. 22 to put more pressure on Iran to halt its nuclear program.

The Israeli lobby groups have always tried to demonize Iran's peaceful nuclear progress, turning a blind eye to the fact that Israel is the sole possessor of nuclear arsenals in the Middle East.

Unlike Israel, Iran is a signatory to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and its nuclear activities are under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agnecy.

Palin should start addressing bread and butter issues and let McCain handle Iran.

I hope she doesn’t get booed, or whatever. McCain’s camp needs to be careful with Palin going into unfriendly territory.
You know if she gets a bad or even luke warm reception, it will be on the news for a week.

No. Palin needs to be a pitbull in lipstick and chew Obama’s bony rear end to pieces.

No. Trying to “manage” Palin is not good. Let her out there. It’s the only thing energizing conservatives. It sure ain’t McPain.

I think McCain sees Palin as his broadsword. It’s the Jewish vote, and Jewish women in particular.

Yes I said broadsword, as in really big, heavy, slashing sword.

Now if only McCain would give up on the global warming and amnesty nonsense, he would have a clear track to the Whitehouse.

The left has accused Sarah (falsely) of being anti Israel and anti-semitic.

This will be a good venue for her, altho a security nightmare.

Mona Charen was just in Florida talking to a Jewish group, she kicked butt on CSPAN last week, even the daily kos is balling;

Jane Hamsher: Mona Charen Had You At Hello

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/9/14/83948/2133/756/598259

Jane Hamsher, representing the Left, might as well have gone home after answering one of the very first questions asked by the moderator.

irst,Ms. Hamsher: In a debate, your opinion does not matter. You are there to argue a side, not give us your personal reflections. And in your concluding answer to the question “Are you worried?”, for any still watching, you confirmed the stupidity of bringing a knife to a gunfight. Of course, you are worried, being among the handwringing class, and gave your reasons. When Ms. Charen responded, she said of course she is not worried. McCain will win.

Ms. Hamsher, you are the epitome of what is wrong with those who speak for the Left. You have all the facts on your side yet you cannot get past your own ego to argue them. You just can’t resist injecting your feelings into the equation and so tools like Mona Charen clean your clock every time. And, frankly, it was embarrassing to watch.

Well, if anybody would know anti-Semitic it would be the left. They have it down to an art form.

One more Article from Moan Charen, on 0bama’s health care plan;

CHAREN: What Obama could destroy

http://washingtontimes.com/news/2008/sep/16/what-obama-could-destroy/

Mr. Obama has embraced the “play or pay” concept first offered by Michael Dukakis. To solve the problem of the 47 million uninsured, Mr. Obama would require all but the smallest businesses to either offer health insurance that meets government guidelines or pay a tax that would finance government-provided health insurance.

The Obama plan doesn’t offer many specifics but most analysts agree the Commonwealth Fund’s health proposal is nearly identical. It would impose a 7 percent tax. Since the tax would almost certainly be less onerous to employers than expensive health-care plans, more and more businesses would opt for the tax, forcing private insurers to raise rates even more. Once the stampede got going it would be impossible to stop. The private insurance market would collapse. What the U.S. would have then would be pretty much Medicare for everyone - or single payer.

Around the world, single-payer systems keep costs down by rationing care. A Cato Institute study found that in Norway, health care is funded through general tax revenues (taxes consume 45 percent of gross domestic product). But Norwegians commonly travel abroad to avoid long waits. “Approximately 280,000 Norwegians are estimated to be waiting for care on any given day (out of a population of just 4.6 million).” In Britain, “delays in receiving treatment are often so long that nearly 20 percent of colon cancer patients considered treatable when first diagnosed are incurable by the time treatment is finally offered.” Even in France, whose system gets high marks from international raters, bureaucratic rigidity contributed to the deaths of 15,000 elderly people in the heat wave of 2003.
