From Wiki: The Teutonic Order is a German Roman Catholic religious order. Its members have commonly been known as the Teutonic Knights, since it was a crusading military order during the Middle Ages and much of the modern era.
He could have just said you were like the Crusaders, but he needed to try and impress you with his John Kerry-like education. Most folks that graduate college these days are more ignorant than when they started.

Amazing, it hasn’t changed at all since I was a grad student there 30 years ago. Students dress better, though. Most screwed up place on the face of the planet.
