You have to remember that there are two different points here: first, the insult was to Sarah Palin, whom we all know is woman enough to shrug this aside (she’s endured worse in the last couple of weeks), second, the insult revealed a candidate who either was too weak to overrule the use of the unfortunate phrase in his speech (meaning he is too weak to be President), too stupid to realize what meaning his words on a significant number of voters (meaning he is too stupid to be President), and/or too arrogant to admit that when he insulted Palin, he insulted all women and all Republicans, some of whom who are just not willing to let that insult slide when it comes from a “man” (I use the word guardedly) who has engaged in gaffe after gaffe and insult after insult in the last few days (meaning he is too weak, stupid, AND arrogant to be President).

Thank heavens for Sarah Palin (and for John McCain for choosing her), and may Sarah continue to be held up in our prayers for her continued strength as she faces unprecedented hostility from an old left that sees its best chance of power being frittered away by a candidate who simply isn’t ready for prime time.
