Obama opens fire on Palin
The Australian ^ | 9-8-08 | Robert Lusetich, Los Angeles correspondent

WITH fresh polls confirming Sarah Palin has thrust John McCain back into the presidential race, Barack Obama yesterday broke his silence on the omnipresent Republican vice-presidential candidate, directly attacking her for the first time. The Democrat, who has seen his lead over Senator McCain fall into a virtual dead-heat after last week's Republican national convention, condemned Ms Palin for accepting so-called earmarks - federal funds for often questionable local projects - while a mayor in Alaska but opposing them now. "I know the Governor of Alaska has been, you know, saying she is (supporting) change," Senator Obama said at a campaign stop in the swing state of Indiana. "And that is great. She is a skilful politician. But when you (have) been taking all these earmarks when it is convenient, and then suddenly you are the champion anti-earmark person, that is not change. "Come on. I mean, words mean something. You can't just make stuff up. We have a choice to make and the choice is clear." But Ms Palin said she was "surprised" the Democratic senator had attacked her on earmarks, saying she "didn't think he'd want to go there".

His trash talk won’t get him very far.

In fact, Palin will continue to get a backlash of support every time Obama bullies her.

And women everywhere who have ever been bullied or abused will rally around the American Woman!

We’ve all had an Obamabully in our lives at one time or another.

Obama is for a positive campaign when he is ahead, but goes negative when he is behind. Obama is for campaign finance reform when he is behind in fund raising but for private financing when he is ahead in fund raising. This guy invented situational ethics.

Oh my goodness...did John McCain pass away while I was at church this AM? What happened? I thought Obama was running for PRESIDENT not Vice-President! (do I really have to use a sarcasm tag here?!)

But Ms Palin said she was "surprised" the Democratic senator had attacked her on earmarks, saying she "didn't think he'd want to go there". "Our opponent has requested nearly $1 billion in earmarks in just three years. That's about a million dollars for every working day," she said. 0bama is said to be intelligent. Looks like the only thing he knows how to do is lie and distort.

Obama seems to be experiencing great difficulty focusing on McCain. Somebody needs to tell him that he’s not running against Palin. She’s the VP candidate. LOL! I love it!!!!!

We’ve all had an Obamabully in our lives at one time or another.

It won't work against Baberaham Lincoln. I think that as his stress level increases, we will witness a psychotic break. I give him less than 3 weeks....

This empty suited, latte sucking metrosexual is so vacuous.

Wait until the details of his Ayers connection and their Annenburg grant that wasted $160 MILLION dollars on a failed program to “improve” Chicago schools over a five year period.

They gave millions to their looney-left friends, took a few million for themselves, performed some experiments that did nothing to improve the schools, and moved on.

These matters need to be brought to light.

Everywhere he goes and speaks now he looks pedestrian. All the sparkle is gone. He is starting to look like a very average typical politician.

Amazing how the Dems have completely forgotten one small, yet very important fact: Governor Palin isn’t running for President.

Senator Obama, in saying he expected Governor Palin wanted to be “treated like one of the guys”, accused her of a back flip on “earmarks” (pork-barrelling)

Yeah, like Sarah wants to be “one of the guys”

Words have meaning Obambi, and you should realize that before you go running your mouth like this

The hole just gets deeper and deeper...

“Is this the same ZerObama who admitted today to Georgie Sniffelopolis that he is a Muzzie?”

...and that “words mean something...”

I think we can let him strangle himself with his own words.

The more people challenge and disagree with him, the quicker the meltdown.

Maybe after this election defeat, he’ll head on back to Chicago and start building a machine that will take aim at Daley. He and Stroger will create a dynasty in Cook County until the voters take them both down. This might happen by 2040 A.D.
