Obama Fundraiser: Palin Putting Career Above Family
by FOXNews.com
Saturday, September 6, 2008
An original member of Barack Obamas finance committee said Friday that Sarah Palin is putting her career above her family by accepting the nomination as John McCains running mate.
Howard Gutman made the argument on The Laura Ingraham Show, telling the radio host that the Alaska governor should focus her energy on her unwed, pregnant teenage daughter.
If my daughter had just come home at 17 years old and said, Mom, Dad, Im pregnant, we have a family problem, I wouldnt say, You know what were going to do? Were going to take this private family problem
Im going to go on the international stage and broadcast it to the world, he said.

Sexism and stupidity at it’s zenith from our “open minded, tolerant” pals on the left.
These people act more like spoiled little brats with each passing day.
To: GVnana
So the Obama campaign's message is, a woman's place is in the home and not the workplace. Gee...that doesn't sound very progressive. Libs have a real gift for misnaming things, including themselves. They are neither liberal or progressive.

"You know what we are going to do......take you right down to the abortion mill so we can rid the family of this burden." That is what she really wanted to say. What a bunch of freaking hypocrites.

What a fool - It wasn’t Sarah Palin that broadcasted it to the world. What is it with these idiots.
I think Obama is the one who is in danger of putting his career above family. How can he possibly tend to the needs of his daughters when he’d have to be out there solving all the problems of the world.
To: GVnana
This is the nail in the nail in the coffin for Obama. This is blatant sexism at its core and by a person who represents Obama and his views.

Exactly.
Furthermore, NOBODY asked Joe Biden if he was going to give up HIS career to raise his sons after his wife and daughter died.
This is liberal hypocracy and sexism at its most disgusting, degrading worst.

Its funny to see liberals now believe a family needs a stay at home Mom as well as a father. I thought they didn't believe in them!

I suppose I could have stayed home and baked cookies and had teas, but what I decided to do was to fulfill my profession which I entered before my husband was in public life. Response to reporter's questions (16 March 1992), reported on "Making Hillary an Issue" Nightline (26 March 1992). Quoted in Boston Globe.

According to the Obama campaign Howard Gutman doesn’t speak for Obama, like William Ayers doesn’t speak for him, or reverend Wright, et al... But I’ve seen this little weasel on TV a dozen times or more sounding very much like he is speaking for Obama.

According to the Obama campaign Howard Gutman doesnt speak for ObamaWell, that's really parsing words, isn't it? Since Gutman is working Obama's campaign he certainly could have quoted Obama's position, the phoney lie that Palin's family was "off limits." But then, of course, we wouldn't have a headline.
