Marijuana may be something of a wonder drug — though perhaps not in the way you might think.
Researchers in Italy and Britain have found that the main active ingredient in marijuana — tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC — and related compounds show promise as antibacterial agents, particularly against microbial strains that are already resistant to several classes of drugs.
It has been known for decades that Cannabis sativa has antibacterial properties. Experiments in the 1950s tested various marijuana preparations against skin and other infections, but researchers at the time had little understanding of marijuana’s chemical makeup.

People just won’t stop trying to come up with any kind of scientific justification for getting high.
The DEA will not be happy.
Someday people will look back on this time in history and wonder how we could have been so stupid as to outlaw some drugs.
The founding fathers would have laughed out loud at any suggestion that they should make a drug illegal.
Federal drug laws were enacted unconstitutionally...they started by requiring a tax stamp to possess certain substances...and then not allowing anyone to obtain the stamps.

If it wasn’t for so many potheads, who are truly addicted to pot as a illegal recreational drug along with all of the negative consequences of being addicted to pot, then maybe the idea of using the drug truly just for medical purposes would be at a much more advanced stage today. I’m of the opinion that pot, in strictly limited amounts, can truly and seriously be used for medical reasons only. Everybody who truly uses the drug only to get high is also truly ruining it for everybody else who seriously wants to use limited supplies of the drug only for medical reasons (and no, I never have either smoked pot or used it for any medical reasons).

I was lighting up a doobie one night and I looked down and noticed all these flesh-eating bacteria on my arm. They were like all intense and all, so I thought like wow, man, you dudes need to chill out. So I blew them a little smoke and before long, we were like hanging together. I had to go to the hospital and all, but on the way me and my micro-buddies stopped off and got some munchies together. We rubbed elbows at the store with some other dudes I hang with. Later on that night, they came into the ER, too. Way cool.
Well I’m convinced.
It doesn’t kill the bacteria, it just makes them too lazy to do anything. Little buggers don’t get up till 2 pm, then they have to pee and get pizza, then laugh about that for the rest of the day. Did my time with it; wish I hadn’t.
It doesn’t fight bacteria. You just forget where you left it.
