Palin has an Israeli flag flying in her office. Does Joe Biden?

Again -- somebody on the Internet can figure this out, and McCain and his people can't?

You're a strange one.  You can't really believe we should have picked Lieberman over Palin.  If you do, I would suggest a 12- step program.

I don’t claim they aren’t sincere in their beliefs. The deception is telling Jews that belief in anything except a supreme, eternal, ephemeral G-d with no physical manifestation whatsoever (which is what belief in the Trinity is) is in line with Judaism. There are others here who could explain it with more acuity than I.

The early Christian church was almost exclusively Jewish, then began to include Jewish proselytes (who accepted Jesus as the promised Messiah), then, finally, after much debate, it was agreed that Gentiles (non-Jews) could join the church. So there is no contradiction between being Jewish and being Christian, it is just that many don’t understand today that there is a New Covenant that God has made with Abraham’s seed (Jews) that supercedes the Old Covenant. Many Jews rejected the New Covenant in Jesus’ day, but many accepted it. They also don’t understand that God changed Abram’s name to Abraham (meaning father of many nations) or the fact that Christians are also Abraham’s seed by faith: GAL 3:29 “And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.”

Only if you are the sort of person who equates 20 years of weekly anti-semitic rants with the considered thoughts of the founder of Jews for Jesus who appeared in your church once for an hour at most.

You know very well that there are Jews who on't like Jews for Jesus, and even the Israeli government makes it difficult for them to pursue their religious aims in Israel.

Frankly, people who think the representatives of Jews for Jesus are antisemitic are mentally unbalanced.

Okay so now the pastor question is back on the table. Obama cannot win this one. Let’s tar all the candidates with the opinions of their pastors of the last 20 years. Throwing under the bus not allowed.

American Jews always support the Democratic candidate in overwhelmingly numbers but Sarah will not hurt the Republican ticket among supporters of Israel. The Habad rabbi in Alaska has given her high praise, the Jewish woman governor of Hawaii has given her high praise, an Israeli filmmaker is in the news now making a documentary on her, and of course then there’s Lieberman.

Wexler trying to paint her as a Nazi sympathizer is a typical Democratic scumbag. They’ve accused her of everything in the last few days, without any basis except their blind hatred and lack of conscience, except standing on the grassy knoll.

It makes no sense at all.

Any Christian should try to convert as many as possible to Christianity and that includes Jews. Of course this needs to be done in a tactful way.

BTW, Jeff Ballabon claims to be responsible for bringing Orthodox Jews to vote for George Bush in 2004.

I really have no idea what the validity of his claim might be, but Fur Shur, I've never heard of the guy yet I've known Orthodox Jews who for years and years have voted Republican out of a principled consideration of the relative merits of the candidates.

Jeff also counted among his "friends" a former Yale law professor, GR Chastain, and up until the day he died in prison he was still working with him to revise/improve Court TV.

Now GRC was a friend of mine (on the net), and had a first-class mind, but I really don't think I'd have gotten involved in a business relationship with the man, but there you have it.

Does anyone have anything good to say about Jeff?

Believing in Jesus completes a Jew. They are still looking for a Messiah, who has already come, and will come a second time.

You don’t get any more Jewish than Saul of Tarsus, who received revelation that Jesus is the Messiah, and “converted” to “Christianity”. He always remained a Jew, and wrote extensively about it in the New Testament for those interested in his experience.

There is NOTHING deceptive about what Jews for Jesus is doing, they are perfectly open and above board about their beliefs and practices.

You've got it backward.

This begs comparison. Everything about Obama is anti-Israel and pro-Fatah.

Everything about Palin is pro-Israel. Trust me, the Israelis know the difference between McCain-Palin and Obama-Biden. And so do the arabs. Just ask yourself, where is the Gaza money going, to McCain, or Obama?

Ha! I wonder how many converts these nutbags actually get.
Very few, I’d imagine. The Jewish people are very astute and way of these serpents.

As to the number of ‘conversions’ I would wager most of them are just disaffected souls moving one from obscure Christian denomination to another.

Jews that hate Christians would have voted for Obama anyhow even if he is slimey with Muzzies...how they ever got to be known as the world's smartest “group” beats me..maybe in business and academia but politically their track record is abysmal the past 170 years.

But..smarter cool Jews who know Christians are their allies against folks who really do want to exterminate them will like this and appreciate this “alliance” for what it is.

Both Palin and McCain are much more pro-Israel and by default Jewish Identity preservation than Obama.

Obama just shares the ultra leftist ideology of the Red Diaper Baby class who I hope are being supplanted by smarter younger Jews.

But there is no doubt that amongst some of the harshest critics of Palin these past few days have been leftist Jewish writers, politicians and talking heads.

in the end though Jews are such a small electorate and can really only help in South Florida where it's close enough to matter overall....then why roll over anyhow.

Kali and NY , too many other strong lefty groups for flipping Jews to Mccain to matter. I still say McCain gets more Jew's vote than since 1984.

Hey, isn't it the case that the Lubovitchers don't think "other" Jews are real Jews, and that's why they proselytize?

I think your view of Judaism is entirely too narrow and sterile ~ it's been a "broad tent" for seveal thousand years ~ kind of set the standard for the theological daughters it has spawned.

Then there's the problem that almost all the different sorts of Judaism that had representatives come to America found themselves squeezed out by the vigorous Reform movement missionaries from Cincinatti, so it's possible you are of the impression that all Jews were always Reform (which even Jacob Schmiddlapp would laugh at).

It's obvious that politico.com is being used as a messenger for the Jewish Democrats' attempts to smear Palin with innuendo that she favors zealous proselytizing to Jews. This comes on the heels of Cong. Robert Wexler's inane linkage of her to "Nazi sympathizer" Pat Buchanan and a press release by the National Jewish Democratic Council claiming Palin to be "out of step" with the Jewish community. The 'Rats, sensing that their longtime stanglehold on the Jewish vote is in serious jeopardy, are grasping at straws.

The facts are that Palin has received extensive praise as being a good friend to the Alaskan Jewish Community by Chabad Rabbi Greenberg. No Alaska Jewish source has said otherwise. She also participated in the celebration of the 60th anniversary of Israel's founding, and just last night met with AIPAC officials, who liked what she had to say.

Au contraire, Senor Schmidlapp, if they didn't believe that "other" Jews were not "real Jews" THEY WOULD NOT PROSELYTIZE.

No physical manifestation whatsoever? So how did God walk in the garden with Adam and Eve? How did Moses see the back of God as He walked by (after God had placed Moses in the cleft of the rock)? How did Jacob wrestle with Him? How would the prophesies in Isaiah come to pass if God were not (and never had) manifested physically?

While I don’t think this thread should become a debate about Jews for Jesus, to say there is no contradiction between being Jewish and being Christian is ridiculous. If you believe there is a “new covenant” then you are a Christian. According to Judaism, as we know, it is 100% absolutely contradictory to G-d’s Word, the Torah, to believe there is a “new covenant.”

Jewish people are notorious for voting democrat, anyhow, so the Palin pick won’t make a difference.

The huge mystery is WHY they vote democrat. Dems are generally anti-Israel and GOP actually cares about protecting Israel. I guess the reason they do it is because they really aren’t informed. I’m not criticizing; our best-friends are Jewish and we love them to death. I just don’t get it.

And it ain't just Wright...took me awhile to relocate this:

Remember the Obama advisor, Daniel Kurtzer, that went to Syria?

Kurtzer long has been identified by Israeli leaders speaking on the record as one of Israel's greatest foes in Washington, and his appointment as a primary Mideast adviser to Obama raised some eyebrows in the pro-Israel Jewish community. "We oppose the appointment of Kurtzer because of his long, documented record of hostility to and severe pressure upon Israel," said Zionist Organization of America National Chairman Morton Klein.

Kurtzer has been blasted by mainstream Jewish organizations, including the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations.

He has angered Israeli leaders many times for pushing Israel into what they described as extreme concessions to the Palestinians.

"With Jews like Kurtzer, it is impossible to build a healthy relationship between Israel and the United States," Benjamin Nentanyahu was quoted saying in 2001 by Israel's Haaretz newspaper.

Former Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Shamir said Kurtzer "frequently pressured Israel to make one-sided concessions to the Arabs; he constantly blamed Israel for the absence of Mideast peace, and paid little or no attention to the fact that the Palestinians were carrying out terrorist attacks and openly calling for the destruction of Israel."

More at:

Source

Do we even need to go into:

How Samantha Power "resigned" in the wake of comments she made regarding Gordon Brown, Jews, and Hillary Clinton.

Robert Malley and Zbigniew Brzezinski, foreign policy advisors who are widely considered to be anti-Israel. Malley was identified as Barack Obama foreign policy adviser in the New York Times as recently as March 15th.

Or his campaign co-chair and chief military adviser Tony McPeak , who made remarks about foreign policy being unduly influenced by Jews in Miami and New York.

Is Jeremiah a Jewish prophet? See what He writes about a new covenant:

31 “The time is coming,” declares the LORD,
“when I will make a new covenant
with the house of Israel
and with the house of Judah.

32 It will not be like the covenant
I made with their forefathers
when I took them by the hand
to lead them out of Egypt,
because they broke my covenant,
though I was a husband to them,”
declares the LORD.

33 “This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel
after that time,” declares the LORD.
“I will put my law in their minds
and write it on their hearts.
I will be their God,
and they will be my people.

34 No longer will a man teach his neighbor,
or a man his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’
because they will all know me,
from the least of them to the greatest,”
declares the LORD.
“For I will forgive their wickedness
and will remember their sins no more.”

Just pointing out that there are Christians who are Jewish (including Jews for Jesus), who have found the fulfillment to their faith in Christ’s substitutionary sacrifice on the cross for all men, Jew and non-Jew alike, and in His resurrection from the dead. Also, there is nothing wrong with Brickner, or anyone else for that matter, to share their views with an intent to persuade others to see/experience what they value.

The whole political process (as opposed to religion) is also trying to persuade us with a view toward “converting” us to the extent we will vote for a platform and/or person.

Unfortunately, we do not always get what we vote for, even when we “win” the election.

Blessings!

Yes, if Israelis could vote in the American election, a sizeable majority would go GOP. I can't think of too many foreign countries where that would be the case.

The only problem is with some left-leaning Israeli media outlets, such as Haaretz and Arutz7, which in the past few days seem to have willingly done the bidding of Jewish 'Rats hellbent on smearing Sarah Palin.

Get a grip.

While I disagree with that preacher’s conclusion, there is a wide sentiment in the evangelical community for that position.

In case you missed it, Christians, by definition, believe that Jesus came and ended the era of Judaism.

The total destruction of organized Judaism was completed in AD70 with the Roman destruction of Jerusalem. SOME believe that the Jews are still prohibited to this day of not being able to have a safe, peaceful Israel as a sign that God’s plan is for Judaism to end..

That isn’t anti-Jewsih racism, it is an interpretation of the scriptures.
