Well, there you go. Curtailing unwanted pregnancies is equivalent to abortion, which is
compared to pills, condoms, cervical shields, vasectomies, ridin' dirty, coitus interruptus etc, and for unmarried teens, abstinence.

In a report released Tuesday, the New York-based Guttmacher Institute ranked all 50 states in their efforts to reduce unintended pregnancy and found a diverse collection of states at the top. California ranked first and New York ranked fifth, a result that may seem predictable, given both states' liberal orientations toward social issues. But between them in the highest rankings sit three conservative states - Alaska, South Carolina, and Alabama.

OH NO, can’t be true. I thought abstinence-only was the ONLY thing that could work.
Abstinence is the only method of birth control with a 100% effectiveness rate. It literally works every time it’s tried!

I come at this as a man who knows that, as far as the law is concerned, I need to be prepared to support the child that could result from ANY sexual encounter I have. No ifs, ands, or buts. It’s a great incentive to use the 100% effective method if I have any doubts about my desire to create a child.

It’s about what education and resources Bristol had. I’m pretty sure she was in Alaska in 2006. So.

So this woman’s idea of curtailing unwanted pregnancy necessarily includes abortion. Hey sweetie, by that point, the “unwanted pregnancy” is sort of out of the bag. It doesn’t “not count” as a pregnancy if an abortion takes place.

PP is such a weird organization - it’s not enough to advise people on family-planning options, they have to be virulent defenders and providers of the practice of abortion.

Further, Alaska has been in Republican hands for decades.
So if Bristol did get the full “heres how to put a condom on a banana” government education, then doesn’t this give more credence to Palins abstinence argument..not less?
