Calling All Pro-life Dems
Zenit ^ | August 30, 2008 | Joan L. Roccasalvo, CSJ

Posted on 08/30/2008 4:10:00 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

A response to: Archbishop Wuerl on the Church and Abortion

Because of Mrs. Pelosi's scandalous comments last Sunday and [then] defying the teaching of the Church, all the pro-life Democrats ought to be asked to speak in defense of life. This includes especially Senator Robert Casey, Jr., whose father was proudly a pro-life Democrat. It is now that all should witness to their beliefs and not fear reprisal from pro-abortion Democrats. These last have all but silenced pro-life Democrats.

For the sake of the Catholic common good, the public stance of politicians on abortion issues must be made public.

In the final analysis, science strengthens the teaching of the Church and the truth about the developing human being at the moment of conception.

I have argues and argues about this

My mother in law is a Dem always has been , she is in MA and born and bred there but I have always told her that the old party of the Dem is no more

She is a church going catholic and I tell her that you cannot be catholic on Sunday and then go and vote against everything you hold dear in your faith.

For instance I ask
do you want abortion
no
Do you want illegals here getting freebies
no
Do you want homo’s to get married
no
Do you want kids to get abortions with out parents knowing
no
do you want kids to contraceptives
no

so why are you voting for the Dems

She never answers

I have never known why Catholics vote for the Dems, to me the north east should be all red states not blue

"I’ve never met a pro-life Dhim."

You could probably hold a convention of Pro-Life Democrats in a phone booth.

This is the sad result of the “post religion” teaching that has been forced on our young as soon as they begin school. They are brainwashed to believe that separation of religion and state means that we live in a secular society and that any religious beliefs take a back seat to the expedient. For example, thou shalt not kill is a Commandment but it is from a religious “book” therefore, since we are ruled by a secular government, it is OK to take the lives of innocent babies in the womb. Secular trumps religious every time.

The Founding Fathers did not mean for religion to be out of state, they meant for state to be out of religion! Big difference.

God Save this Blessed beloved land of ours.

my mother in law is in Quincy and she cannot understand why I keep bringing this subject up

I even got a bumper sticker saying real catholics don’t vote for abortion or it said something along those lines, the memory isn’;t what it used to be.
Anyway she drove for a few days around with it on the car(she never knew) and the first day she had it on she came back and said to my wife that there are some arseholes about as they gave her the finger

Childish what I did but it gave me a chuckle, anyway she found the sticker and took it off.

Just why , why do so many people in that state vote Dem is beyond me. Everyone I know up there does not agree with the Dems on homos marriage, illegal immigration, taxes etc and yet they go to the booths still voting for the Dems and forget what they are voting for

Seems many up there have the Dem party brainwashed into them.
Must go back to JFK or something I do not know, is it????????

If they thought before casting the vote then the likes Barney franks, delahunt and Kennedy would lose their jobs

BY the way I do like the state and the city but I could never live there due to the politics , it used to drive me crazy.

My oldest went ton elementary there and was told it was alright to have two dads or mums and even was asked if they would like to do Ramadan.

No mention of Christmas though was there

My parents are what they believed is the true Democrat party..FDR...let's face it, he held this country together after Pearl Harbor much as we believe George W. Bush did after 9-11.

Yet, they do not have the sophisticated knowledge of the Internet that we have today...so they just fail to look beyond their blinders. They do not even realize how the kooks of the gay, trans gender, angry anti-war, hippie lazy-ass pot smoking weirdos have hijacked their party. They just don't see it.

BUT, my Mom is voting McCain. I'm happy.

That is they meant there be no ‘State Religion”. Freedom to worship. Not freedom from religion. The Founding Fathers wanted to prevent our becoming another copy of the European Countries with intrigues, founded in Rome, plaguing our new Republic.

I’ve never met a pro-life Dhim.

One of my good friends is a pro-life dhim. He is actually aghast at abortion (his wife is also prego) yet he continues to support Obama. I cant get through to him regardless of what tactics I use.

Actions vs. words. Pro-life people don't vote for abortion.
