This whole convention is reminding me of the Rocky Balboa movies,,, humble Rocky vs the various egocentric opponents coming out with steam, and props, etc. -

If McCain is humble, I’ll eat my Redwing boot. He’s a pompous prick. He’s lucky he is running against two clowns that are even worse.

With the set that is being contructed for the Messiah I’m reminded of that old Star Trek episode where the Greek God Apollo holds the Enterprise captive so they will stay and worship him. Of course Kirk kicks his ass, gets the girl and Apollo fades into non-existance.

Seems we are seeing a rerun tonight.

Obama needs to be asked some simple questions. Ask him to explain Democracy in the United States and does he agree with it. Ask him to explain what the founding Fathers meant by a Republic and does he agree with it. Ask him if he agrees with the Constitution in regards to Freedom of Speach and explain what it means. Ask him if he agrees with the rights of the American People to bear arms .Ask him if the Constitution requires changing and who has the responsibility and the right to change it. Does he approve of socialism and communism?

Hmmmmmm...anyone that labels themself “pissant” I don’t value their judgement in characterization.

McCain is ethical, strong and a proven leader...

Yeah. He leads alright. He led the charge to curtail the 1st amendment. He led the charge for Amnesty. He led the charge to stab Rummy in the back. He led the charge towards global warming legislation. He led the charge in opposition to the Bush tax cuts. He led the charge to ban “cheap handguns” and close the ‘gunshow loophole’. He rode the lead horse in the the Gang of 14. He led the charge against ANWR drilling. He led the charge to give communist China MFN status. He led the charge to cut the military in the 1990s. He led the charge for increased CAFE standards.

I could go on if you like.

I hope Stallone has some pull left in philly. It would be great to see him and our savior, the humble, pious John campaigning with Ridge and Santorum down there. Maybe throw in Lynn Swann and our simple, pure John will carry PA. Of and obama’s incompetence and downright hatred of the common man will help as well.

At least “they” can’t, or should say, they shouldn’t (but will) say he’s a Bush clone. And he has an opinion that he will fight for unlike (as you so well stated...those 2 clowns)and defend our nation, instead of sitting down with terrorist controlled countries, he believes in no more taxes..less government spending, and he is pro-life.

We can’t have everything and impossible to get 2 people in a family to agree let alone politicians but I find cutting him down like the dems do accomplishes nothing. He is an honorable man and a wise leader......and for that he is deserving of respect.

One earns respect from conservatives as a politician by making conservative decisions and helping implement conservative solutions.

I will gladly support McCain, if he wins, when he pushes conservative policies. I will vehemently oppose him, as I always have when he pushes garbage. But I’m not going to pretend he is something he is not.

Obama is a communist and deserves to be soundly trounced (or better yet, disqualified). But you are unlikely to see FR turn into the McCain cheering squad ———ESPECIALLY if he picks a milquetoast RINO VP.

Ok, fair enough. I consider myself Conservative too...but I doubt I can find someone that idealogically agrees with everyone of my positions and I believe McCain, in my books, has earned my respect. period.
