I think people are finally starting to figure out that they can get affordable insurance by shopping for private accounts instead of always expecting it through an employer.
I dropped my wife and child and put them on a private account which saved me close to $400 a month.

That’s good but why are accepting the premise the Bush administration has anything to do directly with how many people have insurance? I don’t mean here, the public notion this is a “Bush Administration” issue rather than free enterprise is scary.

The MSM changed the rules when it came to President Bush and because they didn't like that he got elected twice and they try to blame him for everything even if it's not in his control.

...also, I recently learned that in order to keep your monthly rates low, you need to get out of older “insurance pools” and re-enroll. We just went from $720 p/m to $280 p/m for a family of 4!

I recently found my mom, 63 years old, insurance on-line at half of what she was paying through her company and better coverage for her age. She told the company boss man and he verified it and now next month he's offering the same insurance for all the employees.

"The Census Bureau reports that the number of people lacking health insurance dropped by more than 1 million in 2007, the first annual decline since the Bush administration took office." The phraseology suggests it was steady or declining, ....and then Bush took office and it all went to blazes. I doubt this would be accurate.

“Hey! Explain this”!
...our insurer is Anthem. I’m self employed with a wife and 2 kids, 14 & 11. Our insurance went up steadily every year by $100 per month. When it reached $800 p/m I called my insurer and cancelled the then current policy and started a new policy to get into a new “pool” of people. If you stay in the same “pool” for very long, they group you in with older, sicker people that need more health care. If you are fairly healthy it shouldn’t be a problem. Our insurance is catostrophic because we use it so little. I hope that helps you.
