The talking point of the day: Sen. John McCain does not know how many houses he owns.
In a classic gaffe, he tells a reporter to check with his staff; he just doesnt know. The McCain campaign says at least four. Newsweek estimates seven...
Heres two truths that the McCain campaign cant say: one, it is Cindy McCains money and not his.....

As many as he freakin' wants to.
Who freaking cares?
I’ll bet that none of his real estate purchases involved a guy convicted of 16 felonies. Dirty Rezko.
Great answer.
Cindy McCain is an executive at her family owned company.
Can’t Obama accept that a successful WOMAN can buy as many homes as she wants?
Well, I'm not like you Barium. I don't own a house and have never owned a house. Of course, if I'd been fortunate enough to get a sweet-heart mortgage deal from a friend, my ability to afford a piece of property would have increased. Frankly Barium, I really don't think you want to pursue the real estate topic.
Obama on Rezko deal: It was a mistake
November 5, 2006 | Chicago Sun-Times
U.S. Sen. Barack Obama expressed regret late Friday for his 2005 land purchase from now-indicted political fundraiser Antoin "Tony" Rezko in a deal that enlarged the senator's yard.
"I consider this a mistake on my part and I regret it," Obama told the Chicago Sun-Times in an exclusive and revealing question-and-answer exchange about the transaction.
In June 2005, Obama and Rezko purchased adjoining parcels in Kenwood. The state's junior senator paid $1.65 million for a Georgian revival mansion, while Rezko paid $625,000 for the adjacent, undeveloped lot. Both closed on their properties on the same day.
Obama's dealings with Rezko buy a parcel of questions Sweet blog: '08 hopeful in Iowa again. State worker puts up home for Rezko bail Blagojevich: I don't recall Rezko list Last January, aiming to increase the size of his sideyard, Obama paid Rezko $104,500 for a strip of his land.
The transaction occurred at a time when it was widely known Tony Rezko was under investigation by U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald and as other Illinois politicians befriended by Rezko distanced themselves from him.
He spent 5.5 years of his life without a “house” (and probably decent shoes). He is welcomed to as many houses and $500 shoes as he wants.
Humor will diffuse this quickly.
How is it possible not to know how many houses you own?
12% of Americans over 50 do own more than one piece of property. John Kerry, had how many?
His best answer would have been; “Ask Cindy.....”
five=30 million total worth
How many poverty-stricken Islamic half-brothers in Kenya does Obama have?
LLS
Barak Obama says that his favorite verse of the bible is where is says we should be our brother's keeper.Very well - how many houses does Barry's youngest brother own? And does a 6.6 ft by 9.9 ft shanty count as a "house?"
What’s with this “hers, mine and ours” deal? How long have they been married? Is it just a business arrangement?
If Cindy has a wreak and becomes horribly disfigured and hobbled, McCain will file for divorce and then he will know how many he owns.

his handlers have told him to get out there and be more agressive. The problem is, girlie-men acting agressive comes off as just plain weird. Like Algore when they told him to be an "alpha male" by wearing a particular color tie. That's just fruity, and is lost on 99.9% of the population. John McCain earned his money, and so did his wife. Good for them. Good for them if they own 1000 homes. Obama has 1 home, and it was gained in a suspicious manner. That si the story here. Obama will continue to sink in the polls, because no one wants another Algore, John Edwards, John Kerry faggotty puke running things when Russia is acting up again.
Doesn't Obama have more than one, or does he live in his car when he's in DC?
Very easy... if your spouse is independently wealthy you may own a part in more houses than you realize... investments, companies, various entities, etc...

LOL. John McCain has a lot in common with John "Gigolo" Kerry. I guess it's a sign of success to marry an heiress? And I'm not forgetting the snarky way he behaved about Romney's wealth. Romney inherited a wad from his dad and went out and made a lot more on his own. He didn't have to marry his way into politics.
At one time, the two of them did the Vietnam Hero thing together in the Senate.
You know, I think we're a lot better off in FR talking down Obama than trying to talk up McCain. When McCain is attacked, I have no instinct at all to defend him. Let him defend himself.
And he'd better be careful with the Rezko stuff. He got off real easy with the Keating Gang of Five. They've never looked into his relationship with Keating before McCain was in the Senate.
LOL!
The clip of Barry that Rush played today was hysterical—he was screaming! He sounded like a screeching Mrs. Clinton.
Cant Obama accept that a successful WOMAN can buy as many homes as she wants?
Inherited wealth.
Quite possible since they are probably in Cindy's name, and McCain has better things to do than worry about how Cindy is investing in real estate. (Any wealth they have comes mainly from her family.)
A gaffe?
Hardly.
This was brilliant.
It was a total put-down of the whole class envy approach.
When your wife has hundreds of millions of dollars, some of which she invests in an ever-changing real estate portfolio.
/johnny
The ‘Toons have several as well.
Maybe Hussein would like McCain to give Hussein’s brother one of those homes.
There are a lot of people who are holding markers for this guy to have gotten where he is with as little of substance he has produced.
LOL
I don’t think Obama should bring up the issue of real estate.
LOL
I don’t think Obama should bring up the issue of real estate.
Right you are.
McCain talks about "greedy" corporations while his wife Cindy made $6 million in 2007. At what point does "greedy" apply to him and Cindy?
McCain has signed on to the global warming fraud and it's "Cap & Trade" while his wife Cindy makes a living running a company distributing beer in large heavy duty trucks spewing out huge amounts of CO2.
McCain attacked the oil industry for not investing enough in alternative energy. Hey John, they're oil companies! And how much of Cindy's profits does she invest in beer alternatives?
I don't have specifics, but I've read reports that McCain flies around in one of Cindy's corporate jets and I have little doubt that they personally own a private jet as well.
It's easy for McCain to come up with all this crap when he's exempt.
LOL!!
Post of the year?
Don't know how many homes he owns?
In an era where many Americans can hardly make their mortgage...is anyone surprised by these comments or who is running for president?
7 homes? Why not make it an even 10 homes?
Hey, no biggie...So he missed the 3 other homes. lol
If he doesn't know how many homes he owns, how do they possibly pay the mortgage on time? They own all 7 outright?
No doubt he can relate to working class Americans. Sure.
I’m not a McCain fan, but what is being reported is that Cindy McCain owns all of the properties in the family. She owns 8 total. At least 4 are income properties. John McCain doesn’t own any property. After the Keating 5 scandal, the McCains signed an agreement to keep their assets separate to prevent any ethics problems. The Senator doesn’t know what investments his wife has so there can’t be any hint of impropriety connected with them.
LOL...They are married...You can’t be this stupid.
I know I'm not, but what about you?
Excuse me, my stretch limo is here...Were all going out for Pacific Salmon served on gold plated dishes. Hope the limo is generously stocked with Grey Poupon. These drivers are so uncouth.
Have a good time. Don't forget to write when you learn how.
I not only forgot how many homes I own, I forgot how to write. But even groupies like you hopefully get the message.
Then again...No, you won't get it. Is your R tattoo healing up OK?
Hold on a few, I'll get back. My butler brought in mustard of all things. Gezzz..I'll send the dummy back out for some grey poupon.
Who cares?!
