New Left Wing Anti-Energy Strategy: Drill Nothing, Tax Everything ( Newt Gingrich )

The last few days have seen left wing anti-energy Democrats scrambling to find a survivable position.

When we first launched the Drill Here, Drill Now, Pay Less petition drive at American Solutions, left wing anti-energy Democrats were deeply and decisively opposed.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) announced that she was "saving the planet" by stopping drilling.

Senator Obama made fun of drilling and announced that inflating your tires would increase energy availability as much as drilling.

Congressman Mark Udall (D-CO), a hard line environmental extremist and anti-energy Democrat (and the author in the House of the ban on developing oil shale, a resource proven to have three times more oil than Saudi Arabia), was confidently opposed to drilling and comfortably ahead of Republican former Congressman Bob Schaffer for the Colorado Senate seat.

Then the American people began to sign the petition.

Because Newt, while having few principles and even fewer scruples, has a real knack for knowing what will and won’t be politically salient. He’s brilliant that way.

“Who is this Newt Gingrich, and why should we care about what he has to say?”

Of course, the same could be said about “kickonly88”? LOL

And if you “don’t know him & don’t care” what he has to say why do you bother reading his articles, much less wasting my time posting your comments to me?
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...

"...Congressman Mark Udall (D-CO), a hard line environmental extremist and anti-energy Democrat (and the author in the House of the ban on developing oil shale, a resource proven to have three times more oil than Saudi Arabia)..."

Is this true? If so, is developing oil from shale a lot more costly than what we're paying for oil right now? If it isn't, is the reason we're not getting oil from shale due to enviro-wacko reasons? If so, shouldn't we be marching on DC with torches and pitchforks, and rope?

Maybe I should have actually read the article but I thought he might be spewing his global warming pandering to the left B.S.

Newt reminds me of Ben Franklin. He is a fabulous thinker. His personal life is questionable, but while i don’t think he is suitable as the POTUS, I do think words that come from his mouth are worth listening to 99% of the time. He gaffes every once in a while, but not often.

Newt’s the last guy to actually put the Dems in the Minority in ‘94 and if McCain used the national strategy of campaigning against the Dem majority over the last two years, Pubs might actually cut down Dem wins. He was the former Speaker of the House who got caught with his pants down and that put him out. But, he is still a genius at solutions for national problems though he will never hold national office again.
