Gays in the Military -- Can We Afford It?
08/12/08 | HMV

With the DNC platform supporting gays serving openly in the military, the question arises, can we afford it?

Logically, the number of gays would increase in the military if they could serve openly. With that comes the greater opportunity for AIDS/HIV.

Are we prepared to classify AIDS/HIV as a service-related disability and provide a lifetime of treatment for practicing unsafe sex?

No doubt, the homosexual lobby will reiterate the lie that AIDS?HIV is not just a gay disease, but anyone with an ounce of sense knows how it is primarily spread.

What abour housing for gay couples, the officers and enlisted clubs becoming gay bars, lawsuits over promotions and advancements, gay marriage, promotion quotas, etc.

I think "don't ask, don't tell" was a brilliant policy, and a model for the rest of society. What happens in the privacy of one's bedroom is one thing, but the open display and acceptance of gay behavior violates the tenents of every major religion in the world and offends many people who exercise their right to find it morally objectionable.

Will a Purse become part of the uniform?

Do people who get herpes on base get it classified as a service-related disability? I’m against gays in the military because the military is against it, but there is no reason to show irrational homophobia.

This is REALLY a big deal. Open gays in the military and you will immediately have gay pride days on bases, lawsuits galore over “discrimination,” gay marriage in uniform issues, etc... - political correctness will run the military, not soldiers.

It is NOT just an issue of being able to declare ones “gayness” openly.

What an ingenious way to destroy the culture of the military.

I have the perfect use for gays in the military, MADD: Mine Anti-personnel Detonation Duty

What you do is rope all the gays together in a line and have them walk across uncleared areas to detonate anti-personnel mines.

This may have an additional benefit of lowering the AIDS rate.

Apparently you are not aware of what gays do.
Everything is about them and they will completely destroy military effectiveness in order to serve their perverse urges.
They put their urges first.

Has it destroyed the Israeli army? Again, I would vote against gays in the military, because I believe the military should be allowed to decide its own standards.

They want to change everything according to their urges.
Why even consider it?

"Will a Purse become part of the uniform?"

That's sure to strike terror into the hearts of our enemies.

Putin's probably laughing at us!

And China.

And...

“Gays in the military” will raise the cost of Military connected medicine many-fold as homosexuals flood into the Services to get their future HIV and AIDS problems covered by Service-Connected medical care and disability status. When they get their characteristic diseases and syndromes during off-base excursions they will be “service-connected.” Then they give them to each other in the barracks.

Probably change the definition of “foxhole buddies” and other currently normal phrases.

Yeah because their primary purpose in life is follow their desires.
Narcissism does not lead to great sacrifice and accomplishment.

A good argument for the existing policy is made in the book “Exclusion; the Case Against Gays in the Military” - written by Maj. Mellisa Wells-Petry.

Just one argument (of several): Imagine a battlefield with injuries and blood - our soldiers are trained to provide immediate aid. Unlike the EMTs in cities, they don’t take time to don gloves - they render aid quickly. But if there is a possibility of blood borne diseases, giving aid might mean getting AIDS. Either the soldier risks his own life, or decides against providing assistance - creating all sorts of moral issues and concerns. Soldiers (and sailors, airmen, Marines) - would like to know that the people they are serving with won’t place their own lives at risk!

HIV is the tip of the iceberg folks. The bigger problem with “gays” is the fact they are the #1 vector for the spread of a MYRIAD of diseases among humans and the foreign nations want rid of this public health threat—hence they are coming to the US in droves. Male homosexuals have the highest incidence of HIV/AIDS, syphilis, drug-resistant gonorrhea, entamoeba histolytica, chlamydia, herpes simplex II, Chancroid, Drug Resistant TB, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis non A & B, just to name a few. The press of course never discusses the CDC facts, but if you want to look for yourself the information is in the scientific literature. More than any other segment of society, the homosexuals are costing us hundreds of billions in medical care.

I would be willing to bet there’ll be a lot of traditional phrases, songs, commands, euphemisms, etc. that undergo politically correct make-overs.

So, what about sexual harassment? Ever been in a military shower? The minute they let gays in the shower with other men (gay or not) it’s basically sexual harassment. I don’t buy the whole “gay men are only attracted to other gay men” because we all know that gay men regularly hit on straight men. Moreover, the biggest thing in gay literature is stories of gay men seducing straight men and bringing out their “gay side.”

Letting gay men shower with men of any sexual persuasion is akin to letting men shower with women. The day they let openly gay men step in the men’s shower, a straight guy should walk in to the women’s shower. See what happens.

I agree it is not PC, and it is past time we stop cowering before this small minority of depraved and perverted people.

In WWII, when Russia was looking for spies in England they specifically sought out homosexuals knowing their lack of integrity and moral fibre thus the higher likelihood of finding a traitor.

A soldier is a type of hero, defending our nation. Rest assured should America disband its military or it become a laughingstock it will only be a matter of time before Russia says "I think we'll take Alaska back. 2 cents per acre wasn't a fair deal for us. What you gonna do about it, send in the Pink Brigade? Hah hah hah!"

There is nothing noble or heroic about homosexuality. A man getting sodomized is not the image of a hero. Who in their right mind sees a sodomized man as someone to laud as a hero, as someone strong and valiant and able to handle adversity, to be strong in the face of danger? A sodomized man is a conquered man, someone's bitch. What brave soldier wants to serve next to someone like that?

The only positive I can think of concerning gays in the military is a penal (penile?) battalion, a cannon fodder unit.

Are they “flaming” in the Israeli army? That’s the big issue I see behind this “openly gay” thing. What the hell does that mean anyway, “openly gay”? If I need a job done or need to organize something and I need you to do it, I could give a flaming leap about who you sleep with or what you do after 10PM. Don’t bring your sexuality to the office or workplace. So, I ask, what the hell is “openly gay”?
