SPEAKER OF THE FLOP: PELOSI SELLS 2,737 COPIES OF BOOK Thu Aug 07 2008 08:11:48 ET
The most powerful woman in the history of American politics is suffering a humiliating defeat at the nation's bookstores, sales figures show.
In her first week at market, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi sold just 2,737 copies of her book KNOW YOUR POWER, according to NIELSEN BOOKSCAN.
The DOUBLEDAY release was launched with a full media push, featuring high profile interviews on TODAYTHEVIEWTHISWEEK.
There were more negative reviews of her book than there sold copies.
LOL! Pelosi can distribute her books among the people as free heating material.
I didn’t know Nancy had 2,737 friends.
I bet she bought most of them herself.
I would like to think of something meaningful and witty, but all I can come up with is:
BBBBBBBAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAA!
I would have bought a copy but I’m paying 4.00 a gallon for gasoline...
LMAO!
Well, well Nancy. I guess your San Fransisco morals dont play well with the American people.
Her second book “know Your Limitations” is expected to do better.
bwahahaha..
Keep an eye on her. She might pull a Fort Worthless Jim Wright and have her expense account buy a load of copies.
She couldn’t get more that 3k in her own SF district?...............
Nancy, Nancy, Nancy. Didn’t you learn anything from Jim Wright’s “Reflections of a Public Man”? You have to get the unions to use some of those dues they’ve been collecting to buy a couple hundred thousand copies of the book.
She needs to take a lesson from Scott McClellan and make up some juicy stories that make Republican look like idiots.
Then the press will love her and she’ll get on all the talk shows.
I was watching Tony Snow’s funeral. McClellan was there, but I noticed he was walking alone in the clip I saw.
Saving the planet......one tree at a time.
It’s sad when Nancy can’t get some unions to buy 10,000 copies apiece.
She doesn’t know her own power, LOL.
Nice cartoon! lol
Pelosi is probably the most disliked figure in American politics, and it’s a well-deserved honor.
