In the closing days of the 1992 presidential campaign, President George H.W. Bush took to waving a bumper sticker with the slogan ANNOY THE MEDIA/RE-ELECT BUSH. Four years later, Senator Bob Dole asked voters to "rise up" against media that were trying to "steal this election." Complaining about the liberal media is a signature of losing Republican campaigns. It doesn't work because whining doesn't look presidential and because annoying the media tends to be pretty low on voters' to-do lists.

The Liberal media is going nuts over the fact that their messiah might lose.
luv it!
And, in addition to thaty, the hstory of his own willful associations for decades and his positions cap it off.
But so many of those images just do not set well in the American consciousness and memory.
They BOTH have friends who have bombed the Pentagon!
(bumper sticker material)
Why are these pukes at Time whining so early in the campaign? Did they turn Moslem or something?
Bill O’Reilly recommended this article on his show tonight.
Mr. Ponnuru is Indian. I believe that he is Hindi, but may well be a Chirstian like his colleague Dinesh D’Souza
It seems that even though Hussein is revered and worshipped by the guilty white media libs, Hussein does not know how to control the media the way the Toon and his lovely wife did. Maybe he doesn’t have to, but the whole Britney Obama Paris Hilton ad response was refuted in a very poor manner.
When Clinton Inc ran the show, the media had their talking points, marching orders, scripts, and even their planted audience members, ready to strike on short notice.
If his poor, saintly mother knew what her son has become she'd do the Hindu equivalent of "sitting shiva". (That's a pun BTW)
Long ago I had a bumper sticker that said
Annoy the media, vote Republican
Complaining about the liberal media is a signature of winning Republican campaigns...also!
Im a model

IIRC, Ramesh is a conservative Catholic Indian, and a senior editor of National Review.
It seems to me that in 2004 we cleaned Dan Rathers clock and annoyed the media constantly, I think we won the election that year if I remember right. We made the same claims about the media then that we are making now, they are in the tank for the Democrat candidate, only this year they have completely jumped the shark.
Does the term 'Nattering Nabobs of Negativism' ring a bell.
40 years - 7 Republican Presidencies - 3 Democrat Presidencies.
It works very well Mr. Ponnuru.
Then again, Time Warner(TVX), boasting a record (low) fourteen dollars and CHANGE on the dino death watch exCHANGE probably figures it has plenty of political capital to spill, so why not go ahead and admit it's bias while it's still big enough for anyone to listen?
After all, didn't CNN enjoy a spurt amongst the lefties after Eason Jordan admitted he was a stool, er, tool for SoDamnInsane?
He still whines a lot.
