Blind leading the blind. How about a 30% across the board tax cut and watch the revenues rise, the business and producers return to the state.

Good news for the Oneida. The U.S. Supreme Court said they have a right to "buy back" stuff New York state gave to illegal aliens in violation of US law.

I would suppose they'll take any major bridge.

When NY people retire, many of them — even high salaried executives — are forced to sell their homes and leave the state; thanks to property taxes they can no longer afford to pay.

The most frightening thing is how America is selling important businesses, buildings, etc, to foreign countries.

The Trans Texas Corridor - toll road, that Governor Perry wants in Texas, would be managed by a ‘Spanish’ company.

In a country of blind fools,a one eyed man is king.
How is it that the two states with the highest taxes have trouble with making ends meet?
CA and NY both appear to be broke. How can that be?

If Obama’s tax plan was implemented.. New Yorkers would have 65 percent taken out of their paycheck.

Crap like that.. lol

So they’re going to sell state assets instead of cutting costs to bridge (no pun intended) the deficit? I don’t understand.

He should seriously look into buying it.

Or.. we could all donate to him... like Dans Bake Sale.

And he could buy the bridge.

CA and NY both appear to be broke. How can that be?

I would look at who controls the purse strings and makes spending decisions (in California's case - who is supposed to make spending decisions)

When pandering for votes is more important the governing for the well being of all citizens, this is what you get. When a city is allowed to shut down police, fire and library services (the things that serve all citizens), in favor of spending tax money on such items as health insurance for the poor, we are truly a broken society. That is what these states and the Federal government is doing. They do not set spending priorities, they do what feels good.

What if you managed your finances that way? What if you bought a new car instead of paying your property taxes? What if you went on a cruise instead of paying your house payment? This is the way legislatures now spend money. They neglect essential service in order to pander to certain segments of society.

As another example.. when states are spending money on things like..

Banning the sale on primates..(Harry Reids little thing) costs the state 11 million dollars.

Rush said today that New Yorkers total tax burden, including state, federal, local, fees, etc. higher than people in any EU country.

They probably also have a plan to use Federal Troops or out of state NG units to put down the insurrections that will breakout when payroll, retirement and benefit checks start bouncing.

They could sell leases rather than selling public property.
