Ok...the very next time I tour all 57 states, I will make sure that there will be air in my tires, and I will stop every 100 miles for a tune up.

Of course with stations charging for "AIR" nowadays, and tune-ups required trained computer expert mechanics, I would spend much more than the $4 gasoline would cost.

Glad you can run yours on hope. I filled our Xterra up yesterday for $70.60. That’s the first time I’ve ever paid over $70 to fill up any vehicle. It costs me $60 to fill up our Accord, which gets 28 mpg. Thankfully we have to fill up only every other week.

A couple of weeks ago my daughter was watching a rerun og "Fresh Price of Belair" -- and the George and Louise Jefferson characters were doing a guest shot on the show.

I caught a few minutes of the episode, just as they all got into a cutting contest (i.e. "Yo' mama's so fat . . . .) Louise got one off that went: "Yo' daddy's ears are so big that he looks like a car coming at you with both doors open."

I had to laugh. I immediately thought of Obama.

Actually that statement has been making the rounds for the last five years. Mostly about ANWR. Four years ago I was arguing with a co worker about energy and I mentiond ANWR. He immediately said that all the oil in ANWR would amount to no more than the oil we’d save if we all inflated our tires properly. It sounded rehearsed but I didn’t carry the discussion further. If someone would google the haloed one’s words I’m betting you’d be directed to a five year old talking point.

I loved The Jeffersons, George was something else. My favorite scene is where he is giving a elegy for an employee that everyone hated since the guy's mother was attending.
