Hidden deep in Senator Christopher Dodd's 630-page Senate housing legislation is a sweeping provision that affects the privacy and operation of nearly all of America's small businesses. The provision, which was added by the bill's managers without debate this week, would require the nation's payment systems to track, aggregate, and report information on nearly every electronic transaction to the federal government.

Christopher Dodd’s proposal would require all credit card transactions to be reported to the IRS. And the MSM didn’t even inform the American public about it.

This isn’t a big deal, but listening in on overseas conversions with suspected terrorists is the biggest intrusion on privacy ever.

The Republican Party just let it slide through without debate! Its really, truly lost its way.

Would this be some sort of domestic surveillance, perhaps?

Honestly- the legislation that’s getting passed without so much as a blink is frightening.

WTH is going ON?

The Republican Party just let it slide through without debate!

The libs are pushing bills through and not allowing any debate. I wouldn't be too sure the Repubs just went along.

The provision, which was added by the bill's managers without debate this week...

The "without debate" statement always gets my attention.

The important question is... who did the attaching?

I see a major political butt-kicking in the works here.

They could raise a stink about it with the media. At least with the conservative media.

This bill is headed straight to Federal court. And probably to the Supreme Court.
