Obama's Trip: Some Questions Katie, Brian and Charles Should Ask (The shoe that keeps on fitting)

Q: Before your trip to Iraq, you said that you intend to give the military a "new mission" -- all of the combat troops withdrawn within 16 months. Why bother traveling to Iraq and consulting with commanders on the ground, if you've already decided on a new mission?

Q: In 2004, you called it unwise to announce a timetable. By 2008, however, you announce a 16-month timetable. Only a few days ago, your top campaign strategist stated that you were "not wedded" to that timetable. The next day, you reiterated your 16-month timetable, but added it's important not to "undo" our gains. Isn't this confusing?

The shoe that keeps on fitting

May 20, 2008

I thought Barack Hussein Obama would be easier to beat than Hillary, then Obama opened his mouth and removed all doubt. Obama's name appears nowhere in Bush's speech before the Israeli Knesset last week, but solely on the basis that Bush was denouncing appeasement and cowardice, Obama concluded Bush was talking about him! But the real final straw was where Bush spoke of the Book of Jeremiah, which had to be a reference to Obama's wacko pastor.

Bush told the Knesset that "as Nazi tanks crossed into Poland in 1939, an American senator declared: 'Lord, if I could only have talked to Hitler, all this might have been avoided.' We have an obligation to call this what it is -- the false comfort of appeasement, which has been repeatedly discredited by history." Obama swiftly responded: 'HEY, I RESEMBLE THAT REMARK!' Since Bush was quoting the words of an "American senator" when Nazis tanks invaded Poland 22 years before Obama was even born, clearly Bush was talking about Obama.

At a press conference (or, as I prefer, a meet-up with supporters), Obama denounced Bush's speech denouncing appeasement as a "personal attack" and Pelosi, Biden and Dodd denounced Bush for denouncing Obama, who denounced Republicans for making him look weak when he's trying to look strong. Obama said that Bush knows he's not a craven appeaser and that "I have never supported engagement with terrorists," except at a CNN/Youtube debate, where he was asked, "Would you be willing to meet separately, without preconditions, during the first year of your administration, in Washington or anywhere else, with the leaders of Iran, Syria, Venezuela, Cuba and North Korea?" To which Obama replied yes, "I would" -- in an apparent 'personal attack' on himself.

Obama pledges that as president he would unconditionally surrender in Iraq, withdrawing U.S. troops (handing over Iraq to al-Qaeda and Iran for the sake of peace) and sit down across the table with terrorist nutjobs like Ahmadinejad without preconditions -- so yeah, it's a wonder why people think Obama is Neville Chamberlain (though his staffers proudly note that Obama refuses to meet with Sean Hannity.)

In a display of sheer originality, Obama's little darling ninnies were all over the airwaves this weekend sobbing hysterically that since McCain agreed with Bush's speech denouncing appeasement, then McCain = Bush. And since the members of the Knesset gave Bush a standing ovation for what Obozo thinks was a "personal attack" on him, then obviously the Knesset = Bush. Hamas responded by endorsing Obama again.

Appearing on CNN Sunday to make the case that Obama isn't a craven appeaser, Gary Hart attacked Bush for refusing to have diplomacy with Iran. He complained that under Bush diplomacy has not been tried, adding that Bush is "incredibly hypocritical" since for years he's been having diplomacy with North Korea, Libya and . . . Iran. Bush has been slipping out of town under cover of darkness to feast with the mullahs all along.

Then, after being pressed, Gary Hart changed his mind, saying he "doesn't think Barack Obama or any other president is going to meet with a head of state" without preconditions "because it doesn't lead to anything" -- despite Obama's plain words that he would meet with any head of state because it leads to beautiful things, like Obama talking them out of being evil. Then, suddenly, Gary Hart goes bananas, screaming: "I am not going to listen to anybody in this (Bush) administration talk about Democrats being weak on national security!!!"

Appearing on Meet the Press, former Congressman Harold Ford Jr. complained that "if you look five years ago, ask yourself a simple question, 'Is Iran more dangerous than it was five or six years ago?' You probably have to answer the question 'Yes'". Only a few months ago, libbies like Ford Jr. were slobbering all over a new NIE "report" which "proved" Iran is a safe country now because Iranians quit the nuke business five years ago and have since converted into good Christians. Iran has been flipping the U.N. the bird for years and, in April, Tehran announced that several thousand more centrifuges were ready to whirl, but let Bush threaten to take them out, and libbies insist the mullahs are just really into baby milk formula -- but, "attack" Obama and the Crucial, Authoritative, Conclusive, Decisive NIE report gets dropped into the commode with libbies screaming that Iran's a DANGEROUS PLACE!

Replacing the Shah with Ayatollah Khomeini and creating the mess we have today in Iran was Carter's big idea of advancing freedom in the Middle East -- we really need another Jimmy Carter. For 444 days, Carter applied with dazzling results the "Marquess of QueensBarryObama rules" -- 'diplomacy' as a first resort, and then, only as a last, last, last resort, withholding the flowers and candy. It proved such a stunning success, it gave birth to ABC's Nightline, updating viewers on the latest on Carter's tough diplomacy to free the American hostages. Then came the show's display of America Held Hostage: Day 15, Day 65, Day 95, Day 125, Day 155, counting the days the hostages were being held by a gang of Islamic maniacs while Carter busied himself on the White House roof checking his solar panels to conserve energy. Then came Carter's last, last, last, last resort -- crashing helicopters in the desert. The hostages got released on the last day of very extensive "negotiations" consisting of Reagan uttering '. . . So help me God'.

And there you have the idiocy of little Obama getting his appeasement and naivete pulled down around his ankles with his Carteresque, 'don't worry, nothing about Islam's 1,400-year war on the West that a little merry arugulan meet 'n' greet can't resolve, once they get what a totally awesome unifier I am.' And fresh faced, Obama having been only a teenager when Ahmadinejad was doing his thing during the hostage crisis. But when you're a whole sack of Not Getting It like Obama, you end up paling around with Ahmadinejad as analogous to JFK meeting with Khrushchev during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Didn't happened. Khrushchev had sized up Kennedy the year before during their meeting in Vienna, and found him to be a wimp. A year later, you get the Cuban Missile Crisis. BUT REAGAN MET WITH GORBACHEV, SO I HAVE TO MEET WITH AHMADINEJAD AND ROLL OVER FOR THE MULLAHS! Yes, little Obama, Reagan did meet with Gorbachev, but this was years after NOT meeting with his predecessors, and after calling the Soviet Union the Evil Empire and after deploying Pershing missiles in Europe, aimed at Gorbachev's Soviet Union. My advice to Obama is to crack open a history book after he gets his butt kicked in November.

Anyway, that's...
My Two Cents...

Katie Couric’s interview with him yesterday demonstrated that once the MSM starts imposing a modicum of rigor to their questions that BO falls apart.

I was initially irritated with McCain’s campaign for letting BO get so much attention on his trip but now it looks like brilliant strategy to let this rube shoot himself in the foot.

McCain seems to be pursuing a classic tortoise vs. hare strategy. Let the arrogant self-involved rabbit run out haphazardly in front and proclaim his premature victory, while the wiser turtle rests assured that slow and steady wins the race.

Familiarity with Obama breeds contempt. When he was but a wisp of a cipher he was more attractive; now that voters are getting to know the megalomaniac behind the hubris the halo's wearing off.

OT but not entirely: please allow me to share my latest photoshop of Obama at Berlin's Victory column, "Ich Bin Ein Beginner:"

Ping.

I keep seeing the quote from Obama’s book,

From ‘The Audacity Of Hope, “I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.”

Does this sound like the kind of Guy we want to be POTUS? I think not.AMEN

Just heard on Fox & FRiends that Barack was complaining that when he visited the troops in Iraq, all the televisions were set to Fox News.

Said, that Major Garrett was always on. Inferred that the troops were not allowed to change the channel.

Other reporters said, they wondered what channel will be on when he BECOMES president.

I heard the same thing on fox

They ask Rudy and he responded that all channels are available...that fox views the war more fairly.

Do you really think our troops want to watch any other channel?

I am hoping that for his speech in Germany there is a large turn out of anti-american protesters with their stupid signs AND THEY LOVE OBAMA!

Of course the media would try not to show it...

"Do you really think our troops want to watch any other channel?"

Many of the troops have had a choice of all the news channels while they grew up. Upon joining the military, they quickly saw how dreadful the channels other than FOX treated the military. My questions to the other channels:

Do you really think that there is something unusual about FOX being the channel of choice for our warriors? Is there some part of you people on the other channels that feels at least a bit chagrined that in the war of our time, those who fought, and are fighting this war, believe that your broadcasts are not worth their time? And that neither do these warriors respect you nor do they consider you worth listening to?
