Monday, July 21, 2008 Email to a FriendAdvertisement The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Monday shows Barack Obama attracting 42% of the vote while John McCain earns 41%. Thats the lowest level of support measured for Obama since he clinched the Democratic Presidential nomination on June 3. Obamas support peaked at 48% with data released on June 8, 9, and 10. During that same time frame, McCains support has remained steady in the 40% to 42% range (hes had just one day a point below that range and two days a point above it).
When "leaners" are included, its Obama 46% and McCain 45%. With leaners, Obama reached 50% support in mid-June and was at 48% or 49% every day from June 13 until July 10. Since then, he has reached the 48% level just once while polling consistently at 46% or 47% (see recent daily results). Tracking Polls are released at 9:30 a.m. Eastern Time each day.
This poll can’t be correct. All of the Liberal Media have told everyone that only a few bigots won’t vote for the Liberal Messiah. [/sarc]
Looks like McCain gained one and Obamaniac state static.
The media has already determined what the exit poll results will be at 7 pm Eastern on Election Day. “Obama Wins!” - They will be very sad at midnight.
With all attentions the MSM give to him, and the year when the Dims supposedly win big, he’s still statistically tie with McCain, a candidate that many in his own party resent?
And we suddenly began trusting these liebral polls, when!???
McCain has yet to break a sweat but is neck and neck.
Not a good sign for Barry.
When they say what we like. Duh.
All this shows is that McCains top is 40%. As Rush has said many times, Republicans are so screwed in November. Thats what you get when a senile, liberal, old wanker gets the nomination.
Hi Troll. Your signature proves you are a Liberal.
I take it you prefer Obama?
I don't trust any polls. I was just making a joke at the Liberal Media's expense.
I got a call tonight from Rasmussen, first time ever I’ve been part of a poll.
No, it shows that without a third party on the right, McCain wins. Clinton *won* with 42-43% of the vote, because of Perot.
Obama is tanking in the polls and that doesn’t even count the Bradley Effect, where people are afraid to be seen as bigots and therefore say they will vote for Obama, when they won’t. There are also union workers and government workers who need to be seen as rank-and-file donks, but who routinely vote center right. They will say “Obama” in the polls, but vote McCain. So, Obama may poll at 40-43%, but he will not gain that much in the actual election. And McCain is going to pick up a portion of those who say they will vote Obama, but will instead vote for McCain.
We’ve seen your type before. You will gain no traction here. Go away.
oF COURSE NO BOUNCE...have you seen how Junior looks standing next to the Presidents of countries and General Patreus? He looks like he is 12.....He is just a kid.
This trip I am happy to say, shows just how young and unexperienced he is. You can fool some of the people some of the time..........Sorry Junior....no walking teleprompters in Iraq!
McCain has figured out that being high profile this far before the election can only hurt you. Best case, you peak early and the buzz fades. Worst case, you say and/or do something dumb, and it bites you in the ass.
You can’t win an election in July, but you sure can lose one.
Colmes is an idiot. Hannity is not Conservative.
You are confused and/or on drugs.
There are going to be lots of poll threads...which gets confusing when an old thread is bumped.
To help out, and to appear like a seasoned FR veteran, please put “national” or some specific state, plus the date, inside your parenthetical comment.
If desired...
I learned a hard lesson in 2006 about polls. I kept telling myself they were all wrong, skewed, biased, etc. Look what happened.
This is really great new for McCain.
The democrat is winning New York, Illinois and California by about 20%... but is only ahead nationally by 1%.
