Anyone here who is Catholic and supports the death penalty, you might want to read the Catechism of the Catholic Church again:

From the Catechism:
Assuming that the guilty party’s identity and responsibility have been fully determined, the traditional teaching of the Church does not exclude recourse to the death penalty, if this is the only possible way of effectively defending human lives against the unjust aggressor.

If, however, non-lethal means are sufficient to defend and protect people’s safety from the aggressor, authority will limit itself to such means, as these are more in keeping with the concrete conditions of the common good and are more in conformity with the dignity of the human person.

Today, in fact, as a consequence of the possibilities that the state has for effectively preventing crime, by rendering one who has committed an offense incapable of doing harm—without definitively taking away from him the possibility of redeeming himself—the cases in which the execution of the offender is an absolute necessity "are very rare, if not practically non-existent" (Evangelium Vitae 56)."

United States to World Court-After due consideration of your request demanding we put on hold the legally reached decision to end the life of certain individuals who although not USA citizens, have none the less committed the act of murder against an individual or individuals who are citizens of the United states of America, we have reached the following consensus.

These are the same idiots who think that Rumsfeld is a war criminal. [Of course, so do many Democrats like Dick Durbin, Harry Reid, Patty Murray, Barbara Boxer. Question: if you sum their IQs, does it total 100?]

Hey World Court, eat my shorts!

Texas does not answer to a “world court.”

Nope. We need to add more of these.

“Don’t fret, FRiend. The SCOTUS ruled back in March 6-3 for Texas, and against the Medellin and the `World Court’.”

While a few on this thread are busy praising Bush, which side of this scenario was Bush on? For Texas and execution, or For Medellin?

What happens if next year the World Court decides that Bush, Cneney, and Rumsfeld should be tried for war crimes? How would a President Obama react? Would he extradite them? Maybe someone should pose the question to him.
