First video of Guantanamo interrogation released
Telegraph ^ | 07/15/08 | Damien McElroy

Omar Khadr, a Canadian detainee accused of killing an American soldier during a firefight in 2002, is seen both sobbing and angry in the seven and a half hours of poor quality video issued by his lawyers.

Khadr, 21, describes mistreatment at the hands of American guards. But his main complaint, of damaged eyesight, dates from the shoot out with a US patrol in Afghanistan. In one segment he repeatedly cries: "Help me."

Khadr, who played in Osama bin Laden's private compounds as a child, was 15 when he was arrested and 16 when the Canadian agents were granted access to him at Guantanamo.

Maybe it’s just me - from the few minutes of this I’ve watched I don’t see that the kid was abused. I saw he didn’t get what he wanted (medical attention) when he complained about it. I don’t know that he really needed attention either - so that could just have been a 15 year old trying to get attention. If he did the crime - then he should do the time - even at his age.

Here’s one Canadian who doesn’t want that stinking terrorist back in Canada to cause trouble.

Let him rot in Cuba for all I care. He is guilty of un-Canadian behavior, and he has abused whatever generosity and compassion and hospitality that saw him and/or his family be allowed to immigrate into Canada from whatever hellhole his lot once called “home”. Gitmo sounds like just the place for him.

He might have Canadian citizenship papers — if so they were probably forged or obtained thru false premise or trickery — but he sure ain’t Canadian.

If you have the ability to impose the death penalty on this scroat’s sorry carcase, do so. It would be perfectly OK by me. Judicial hanging is the natural outcome for filthy terrorist scroats like this lad. So the US Gummint has my permission.

I’m not upset that they interrogated him. He knew Bin Ladin, I’d be upset if they didn’t interrogate him. He’s lucky I didn’t get hold of him.

I am upset that this video has been made public. A proper intelligence service can keep a proper secret. I wouldn’t trust these clowns with last weeks issue of Parade Magazine.

But in the end, the video evidently shows what we’ve been saying all along. Interrogation is not torture. A tough interrogation isn’t pleasant, its not meant to be. But its far from torture. If you don’t want to talk, you won’t. But you’re given every incentive to talk.

That tells me most of what I care to know.

Damn! I watched the video hoping to see some actual torture. I’ve been harsher to 16 year old girls who were late for work. And they knew better than to try that fake crying routine!

I'm certain that prisoners gathered by terrorists are never ever questioned for hours on end like this before they're served a meal and sent to sleep in a nice cozy cell....

They're beheaded.

Only America is required to observe the Geneva Convention. For everyone else it's a free for all.

What a pathetic attempt of swaying people to feel sorry for known criminal terrorists. Everytime they do this, make sure live footage from 9/11 is attached. Photobucket

I didn’t even see a tough interrogation. I only saw a murderer who was very happy with what he was doing until he got caught. Now he is the crybaby jihadist. ‘Waaaaa! You don’t care about me. I murdered one of you infidels and now you are asking me questions and won’t let me go. Waaaaaah!”

Instead of trying to get him back, Canada should be deporting his parents (and I use parents loosely here) back to whence they came.

Huge propaganda victory just showing this tape. The Fox news people are falling all over themselves about the poor child or “teenager” who is being tortured. Most viewers will not actually listen and see it is bunk. They take the word of this Jihadi’s evil lawyers and the sympathetic news announcers.

Don't fall for the leftist ploy to tug at the heart strings to see this as 'just a boy.' This jihadist was old enough to understand the consequences of picking up a weapon and aiming it at civilians and US troops. As far as I am concerned, this scumbag got far better treatment than he deserved - he is alive, despite his reprehensible behavior. He has been treated far better than any of our troops captured by his fellow scumbags.

The ONLY time I even think about the torture of prisoners is when I see or read about it, then I think, what’s all the fuss about. Ya gotta do what ya gotta do.

This reminds me of OJ beating his hands on a table to get them puffed up so the glove didn’t fit.

This is a criminal defense tactic. I could recreate that whole scene with little effort.

Screw him.

He killed a medic. Article left that out.

I saw this video on Fox News yesterday. ANYONE who thinks this P.O.S. haji is being mistreated in any way needs to seriously consider suicide to clean out the gene pool a little.

He was either beaten and tortured or he wasn’t. No mention is made of it, and I’m sure the media would be all over it if he had been. The bottom line: no beating; no torture.

I’m not real impressed by his crying.

Is there anything available about the soldier he killed? His life, family, etc? I can't watch the video from work.
