Skip to comments.Teutonic Twit: Schwarzenegger, Global Warming and the Bush Administration

Noted scientist, Arnold Schwarzenegger, cast his eye over the political landscape and wagged his finger at the Bush administration. Schwarzenegger, governor of California, said the decision to delay a decision on regulations affecting greenhouse gases showed it did not believe in global warming.
The Bush Administration's refusal to guzzle some of Arnold's global warming Kool-Aid upset the Left Coast governor. The Last Action Hero decided a lecture was the solution. Schwartzenegger might not have realized he was also lecturing a majority of Americans for being nonbelievers. According to Pew Research Center:
Americans generally agree that the earth is getting warmer, but there is less consensus about the cause of global warming or what should be done about it. Roughly four-in-ten (41%) believe human activity such as burning fossil fuels is causing global warming, but just as many say either that warming has been caused by natural patterns in the earth's environment (21%), or that there is no solid evidence of global warming (20%).
Though the above info is two years old, a recent (June 22 2008) poll of Britons confirmed that a majority doubt that any warming is caused by human activity.
The majority of the British public is still not convinced that climate change is caused by humans - and many others believe scientists are exaggerating the problem, according to an exclusive poll for The Observer.
The results have shocked campaigners who hoped that doubts would have been silenced by a report last year by more than 2,500 scientists for the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), which found a 90 per cent chance that humans were the main cause of climate change and warned that drastic action was needed to cut greenhouse gas emissions.

I understand Dr. Swartzenegger wants to be the next Energy Czar
“Americans generally agree that the earth is getting warmer...”
California is going in to the toilet...
“Americans generally agree that the earth is getting warmer...
Oh I agree.
It is July in the Northern Hemisphere, so the Earth is definitely getting warmer. Come October, we ALL will “generally agree” that the Earth is getting cooler.
And “climate scientists” don’t really know much more than that, either......
“Noted scientific thinker”
Now that is funny.
The earth is not getting warmer. Data from the last 10 years shows the earth is now moving into a cooling cycle.
If the Administration did not believe in it, why WOULD you want them to do something?
Can't imagine why it shocked them. The UN dredged up some biologists, psychiatrists, literature professors etc and "ended debate" on whether climate change is man made. Did they EXPECT the guy who shovels snow every day and listens to reports of record cold temps on the weather forecast every day would believe their crap?
Kalifornia is causing Global Warming all buy itself!
Stop Your Man-Made Wildfires Now !!
Well, the last Ice Age only ended 10,000 to 11,000 years ago. It stands to reason Earth is still warming.
But, but, but.......
The climate keeps on “changing”!
Something MUST be wrong, and it must be man’s fault.
Fool-Aid that is a good one. And to think in Indonesia they have Natural Gas fields that pump 30-40% CO2 mixed in with the methane and they just dump the CO2 straight into the atmosphere but old Arnie and his commie pals lecture the Great Satan like an Iranian Mullah would never mind the rest of the world.
In his new role, the fake Republican with a heavy accent looks menancingly to the camera and says,
‘I’ll be quack.’
Ah, I beg to differ: the Southern hemisphere is warming up then, so we'll all 'generally agree' the earth is getting warmer.
It’s so confusing. I don’t know what to think. I believe I’ll just cringe in the face of it all.
I think we should all retreat to mud huts and let our betters, the statesman-like, heroic political class, graduates from Ivy League law schools, tell us what to do with each and every second of our lives.
That is after all, the ultimate goal of these socialist schemes, isn’t it?
