Cool. You can now carry concealed into a liquor store or when dropping off the kids at school. And you gain added protection with new Castle Doctrine rule in defending yourself wherever you have a lawful right to be.

It also permits guns to be carried in retail establishments that sell liquor, as long as the licensee isn't consuming.

If I am reading this correctly, you'd be allowed to carry in a bar/resturaunt where liquor is served, provided you're not drinking alcohol......?

If so, that's reassuring. You may not have time to get to your car and unlock your weapon in an encounter with a belligerent drunk. A little slap of the gunleather usually persuades someone to calm down fast and gives you a chance to leave without incident.

Not really a fan of how the extra magazines are carried. I’d rather a flap or some kind of enclosure.

Open carry is an excellent front in the battle to regain our constitutional rights. We are making real headway there!

Since the magazines are stored inverted, the bottom of the magazine keeps the rounds fairly well protected. Also, proper adjustment of the magazine holders ensures that adequate force is required to remove the magazine.

What is your concern?

I’d just prefer something with a button, Velcro or buckle closure.

Don’t want Mr. Murphy visiting should the guano hit the fan.

Velcro is beyond all doubt the most moronic stuff to use to secure any tactical gear, if stealth is of any value to your operation. There is nothing in nature that sounds like a Velcro anything being ripped open. I’d rather have toggles, big buttons, or some other closure that can be manipulated in silence.

How about a plastic buckle? Granted Velcro is quite loud, but I wouldn’t want magazines able to fall out.

Plastic buckles can be made quiet. The one nice thing about loop and toggle closures is they are field repairable, like a button fly. Break a zipper on a field uniform and fixing it is an ordeal but even the most mechanically challenged moron can learn to sew on a button. Having spent years as a soldier living in the field I have suffered the indignities of equipment designed by idiots who never left garrison.
