I think that they should raise taxes by $30 Billion, that way they will have a windfall already built in, so that won't have to worry the people anymore...//sarc//

Succinct. To the point. Accurate. He's a nice guy, but he gave up against the Dims a long time ago.
BUT, if we all were surrounded by Democrats everyday who slammed us down every time we opened our mouths, what do you think might happen? He sleeps with the enemy every night. With all the constant input of the Kennedy-clan ad infinitum, Maria Shriver in particular, and Democrats coming out his ears, are we really surprised with what's happened in his governorship? I am disappointed in Arnold, no doubt, and have come to see he is truly a classic-case of RINO. He's dead in the water, as they say. What a disappointment and we Republicans in California have no place to go. The Dems rule. They have all the illegals, sell themselves by promising "free stuff", etc., etc., and the rest of us can go to hell. This State has become a shame, and it won't change any time soon.

No surprise here.
I’m only surprised he hasn’t fully embraced the Dem plan already (and labeled it “bipartisan.”)

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger said Wednesday he is "open-minded" about $8.2 billion in tax increases... Make it $20 billion in tax increases and then it will be more benefits, pay raises and vacations for everyone!
/S
Arnold has totally bought into the Democrat belief that a good stiff tax(s) will fix everything.

Bustamante would have already passed legislation on $12 billion in tax increases and would be asking now for another 8 billion because the Dems would have already spent the money.Bustamante couldn't have gotten legislation passed without a supermajority vote (which includes pubbies). There is no way he could have accomplished that.
Arnold, on the other hand, used his thugs to coerce the minimum amount of pubbies required to approve massive spending increases and unprecedented borrowing. (The Dems unanimously supported him.) As a "Republican", he accomplished what no Democrat could have ever done.
