He's not president yet, but Barack Obama has already given some thought to White House decor.
Asked at a town hall-style meeting in Fargo, N.D., about any decorating plans for the Lincoln Bedroom, Obama described a visit to the White House after he became a U.S. senator.
"You have all these mementos of Abraham Lincoln, but you have this flat-screen TV in there," Obama told the crowd at the outdoor event.

Never thought I’d say it...I agree with him on the TV.
I have a vision for the Lincoln Bedroom... To keep Obama out of it!
Oh yeah, saw this - the twit thinks there should only be reading allowed in the Lincoln bedroom - probably only Cone’s work.
They didn’t have television when Lincoln was alive, so they should just have an old, wooden, bedside tube radio. ;-)
And when people become THIS freaking STUPID and inattentive to their freedoms, THIS is the candidate they deserve.

Hurry before some diversity loving (RIGHT!) Obamaniac at YouTube pulls it.
I now agree with him on ONE thing. There will never be enough “things”, though, to vote for him...
How about a “Lawn Jockey?”
There’ll be plenty of posters of Che placed throughout the White House....just like the one you can find in his Houston campaign office.
I’d like to hear Bill Clinton’s thoughts on Obama’s idea.
Well, I agree with Obama—probably for the first time. We don’t have TVs in any of our bedrooms, and I fail to see why they should have them in the guest bedrooms of the White House.
A few books would be just fine.
Ahhhhhhh..........yes. But...is he telling the TRUTH?
OOOPS, I never should have said “re-reading” the Gettysburg Address when referring to Clintonista hacks from Hollyweird — I doubt that many of them have ever read it once.
Waht’s the Democrat going rate for he Lincoln Bedroom? $50,000 per night?
Better keep teh flat screen Hussein — the people bribing you will want it that way.
Hate to admit it but I agree with him on this. The White House is a special, historic place. I think some care has to be taken with things like the Lincoln Bedroom. If someone’s staying over, they can do without a TV for a few nights. How often do you get to soak in the ambience of the Lincoln Bedroom and all the history there? Sitting there with the remote, watching Leno? Hmmm, not quite what I envision.
One thing is certain: The Slickster had a very different "vision" for that bedroom.
That picture is Exhibit A for how the Clintons and their friends treated the White House. And don’t even get me started on what Bill did in and around the Oval Office.
