U.S. to pledge $400 million in aid for Kosovo

The United States will pledge $400 million in aid to Kosovo next week at a donors conference expected to raise more than $1 billion for the newly independent state, a senior U.S. official said on Wednesday.....

The Bush administration requested the bulk of its pledge from the U.S. Congress more than a year ago, well before Kosovo declared independence, out of a certainty that the region would need financial help whenever it declared independence.

"Well I will admit that things are not looking good, however I am hopeful that as the Socialist Utopia crashes all around thier heads (it is crashing right now) and as Islam pushes deeper and deeper into Europe, someone with a brain will gather enough support to get the ball rolling".

I hope to God that this will be the case but I doubt it, especially when it comes to our politicians.

Seems to me that both the Muslims and the Socialist Utopians are working toward the same goals -- a totalitarian social system, a lack of protection for indigenous populations in favor of minorities, putting a muzzle on freedom of speech, creating a globalist "umma" (community -- or cult) rather than respecting the rights of individual countries to maintain their sovereignty, etc.

Put them side by side and the radical socialist model for humanity is not much different than the Islamist one, which is why I believe that we are in deeper trouble than most people realize.

If it was earmarked to rebuild Christian churches destroyed and desecrated by the muslims (religion of peace) I might see some sense in it. Oh I forgot, we believe in separation of church and state, well at least Christian churches and state.

The US is a rich country. Kosovo is small potatoes. Get a grip.

Too bad the Fedgov and Bush don't ask for Americans to voluntarily give money to Muslim countries.

No doubt you'd be willing to give up 20 percent of your own income. I would have no problem with that.

But they wouldn't receive a dime from me.

By the tone of your post, you probably don't realize that the Fedgov is still giving away billion of dollars to many countries that hate America, countries that continue to vote against America's interest at the U.N. time after time.

Our corrupt idiot leaders (EU & USA) just don’t get it, one would think pictures of Islam celebrating terror attacks on the West would give them a clue. Seems to me like France is waking up, we in the usa are still sound asleep.

agreed. for gods sake we have to wake up. at least we have to tell our politicians that WE have allready woke up. i don´t know if it´s different in the USA then here but most of our politicians just don´t stop pretending regardless what happened that not islam is the danger it´s just about a bunch of lunatics who can be found in every society. but holy cow it´s shure not the “religion of peace” . good god i saw people dancing in the streets after 9/11 while every other sane person here was shocked and only thought how can we help but no it´s not about islam.

Should never have recognized the unilateral declaration of independence in the first place. It would be like Canada recognizing New Mexico’s declaration of independence or any other state. After that stupid recognition to an Islamic majority state then comes the cash. What stupid foreign policy.

"Should never have recognized the unilateral declaration of independence in the first place. It would be like Canada recognizing New Mexico’s declaration of independence or any other state."

Precisely. And who are we protecting it from? The Serbs who saved 500 American flyers during WWII or the American Serb who actually served as the model for the GI Joe action figure

The GI Joe action figure was based on WWII Medal of Honor winner Mitchell Paige and his bio says:

Mitchell was born in Charleroi, Pennsylvania. His parents were Serb immigrants who arrived in the USA from the Military Frontier,[1] their last name being Pejić.[1] His mother kept him and his brother in touch with their roots, reminding them of the Battle of Kosovo, but also told them to be proud Americans.[1]

Pretty ironic, don't you think?

I meant “pretty ironic” that we in the US are on the precise opposite side today, “protecting Kosovo from Serbs” given that Paige was raised on the idea of “protecting Kosovo FOR Serbs”.

Sure..why not? let's give the Muzzie Albanians what they ask for...we already supply them with the means to destroy Christian communities why not even more.

An undated picture shows an Albanian armed man guarding his agricultural land planted with cannabis sativa, in the southern region of Lum Vlora, in the district of Vlora. Many Albanian families support themselves by planting cannabis sativa, which is illegally transported to nearby countries and used to produce hashish.

Virginia Ridgerunner should win an award for posting the best visual representation of the US giving money to the Jihadist state of Kosovo.

In Iraq, we spend money to fight Jihad terrorism.

In Kosovo, we give money to reward it.

Pretty damn stupid, really.

And I see canuck_conservative has once again gone back on his announcement to stay off the Balkans threads.

Like a mindless moth to the flame, really.

It's good to see that you're still with us. I was so afraid that you had been killed!

"The reports say 13 of those killed were leaders of Somalia's Islamic Courts Union or the al-Shabab militant group. They say one of those killed was a Canadian colonel whose name is on a list of international terrorists".

You're very right in your post, Boka! It's all for the benefit of the globalist/NWO kingpins and their pet politicians. That's why we will have the dubious "choice" between two arch-globalist major-party candidates for President in November.

Besides that, we are paying jizya to the Kosovar Shiptars, the "Palestinians", and other muslim miscreants. I would NEVER pay jizya to the muslims on my own, but our government mis-leaders take my tax money and do it anyway.

You beat me to it, with the idea of jizya.

As with all “protection money”, we must keep paying it, over and over, to allegedly keep the muslims from attacking us. But they can attack us anyway, and they’re ALWAYS very active in undermining us, even when they are not perpetrating direct violence!!!
