Anyone recall the opening scene of the 1951 War of the Worlds? Same kind of phenomena in the same area. Just a thought for the day.

Anyone recall the opening scene of the 1951 War of the Worlds? Don't get my hopes up. I bet there'll still be an election in November.

"..probably man made or a meteor.." Sure, that is what they always say, right before the invasion.

Was it anything like this?
BTW, I don't know who this guy is, but his scaled version of the Estes Fat Boy is the ultimate in rocket club geek chic.

I noticed that too. I thought he was holding him steady, maybe.

Huh. This morning at 2 a.m I was standing on my deck looking up at the sky. It was a beautiful night, no moon, really clear. I saw a huge meteor, I guess, it actually left a contrail. Is that normal? I mean for a meteor to leave a contrail? And no I don’t normally stand outside looking up at the sky at 2 in the morning.
