I believe in the Constitution as written. It was created a living document... it changes with the times WHEN IT IS AMENDED, not when unelected justices twist the meaning of the words. That said, I think many amendments after the Bill of Rights were unwise, specifically the 16th, 17th and 18th. The conservative I find myself in agreement with most often is PJ O’Rourke. I believe that ignorance of civics and economics will doom a nation with our representative government to the clutches of kleptocracy. I believe in rational thought and science.
