In a House Judiciary hearing, William Delahunt(D)tried to find out what Cheney aide David Addington knew about the use of waterboarding on suspected Al Qaeda terrorists, or more specifically, whether Addington knew it was approved as an interrogation technique.
Addington told Delahunt he couldn't discuss specific techniques being used, or even discussed for use, by CIA agents because terrorists may be watching his appearance and would gain insight into what U.S. intelligence agents are up to.
Addington said,"You kind of communicate with Al Qaeda if you do. I can't talk to you because Al Qaeda may watch C-SPAN."
Delahunt responded: "I'm sure they are watching. I'm glad they finally have a chance to see you, Mr. Addington, given your penchant for being unobtrusive."

Rep. Wiliam Delanhunt (D-Mass)
JOKE???
I uesed to ask “What side are the democrats on?” Now it seems pretty clear, not the US. It is amazing in their effort to fight everything Bush, they have to be traitors to do so.
[The Democrats are not worth burying when they die.]
There are a number of democrats that I would just as soon bury alive.
not a joke to me either...
it’s really unbelievable...
I can’t imagine why Massachusetts would elect this guy, but they like Kennedy too...
1996 Congressional election
Delahunt was first elected after a primary battle against Phil Johnston of Marshfield and Ian Bowles of Woods Hole. Johnston was initially declared the winner. A recount conducted in a handful of contested towns preserved Johnston's victory though by a narrower margin. Following the recount, Delahunt sought judicial review in the Massachusetts Superior Court and Judge Elizabeth Donvan conducted a de novo review of the contested ballots and declared Delahunt the victor by a 108-vote margin. The case appealed to the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court, which upheld the lower court ruling. The case is also noteworthy for the issue of "hanging chads" in punch-card voting machines. I guess voters will have to wait until the courts "unselect" him ...
The people of Massachusetts that elect a worm like this don’t deserve their freedom.
Also the everloving oil production expert Ed Markey and good ole 'Boys in the Basement' Barney "Lollipop" Fwank
And who were the republican wimps on the panel that just sat there in silence????
Delahunt was not even on the subcommittee. He attempted to ask questions earlier in the hearing, and Rep King objected. The objection was sustained by Jerrod Nadler. Well up until King walked out the door, and then Nadler let Delahunt ask his questions.
Two Lessons to be learned here.
1. Never leave a witness, during a hearing
2. Never trust the Dem to do the honorable think when people are not watching.
“i’m sure they’re watching. I’m glad they finally have a chance to see you...”
translation: “i’ve instructed them to watch you at this time and happily, your american soldiers were unable to hinder their ability to tune in, thank goodness, and now they know what you look like.”
IMHO
I agree MA seems to generate more than other states ... with the possible exception of NY state.
Thanks for the info...
Unfortunately, that's what it's coming down to in the USA....
accurate translation IMO...
and John Kerry too...Massachusetts should be outraged...
