Are you comparing a few appropriate medical questions any COMPETANT nurse would know to ask to a full-scale gyno exam?

My point is incompetance of government employees... Are you making the point that govt. are competant?

No, I'm saying that I don't think it necessarily implies incompetence that the nurse didn't do a complete gynelogical history on a child who said she had cramps. In most schools, the nurse provides acute care (of a sort; they aren't allowed to give medicines of any sort, even cough drops, at our school), and when the child's last period might have been is rather irrelevant as to whether or not she's having cramps today, unless maybe she'd showed up in the clinic last week also claiming to have cramps.

My point is incompetance of government employees... Are you making the point that govt. are competant?

Actually, no, I'm merely commenting on this particular situation. I'm not intending to paint with a broad brush, although that may be your agenda.

By the way, the teacher in me is compelled to tell you that there is no "a" in competent or competence.

I wonder if there is a charity out there that promotes and educates kids to drop off their infants at hospitals and other safe drop locations?

This nurse did not notice a girl about to deliver a baby...

I made my point about this being another good example of government employee incompetance...

What is your problem? I have no AGENDA other than what I plainly stated

No, I'm not a nurse at all.

Are you a nurse, or a medical professional?

Does your job entail work with a large number of teenaged girls?

“Obviously, anyone who missed the sarcasm in your post must have gone to public schools.”

Exactly....and we can therefore infer that they are also inclined towards murder, mayhem, and other social pathologies.

It reminds me of a “Jewish Mother” joke I heard a long time ago.

The Jewish Mother’s stance on abortion: “It’s a fetus until it’s 21”.

Mildly funny as a joke. Tragic in real life...

Please remember, that government **force** means armed police with real bullets.

Still waiting on documentation of Police forcing students into seats with bullets

Interesting that we never hear of home-schooled kids getting pregnant. Probably because their parents keep it hidden. Really, is this tragic story of a newborn life so callously snuffed out the time to bring up home schooling? Personally I think this is why a good percentate og parents do homeschool, they know little Janey is knocked up and want to hide it.

The mom should be secluded. There should be a sense of profound shame and sorrow. The baby should be adopted and not aborted. Forget the baby showers, the free day care at school, the school support groups, the nursing mother’s rooms at school, and the gangs of other girls cooing over the new baby....etc.

Thats what they used to do. They called them the Girls That Went Away - and I, as an adoptee have had to deal with that shame ie not knowing my medical history and not having the ability to access to my Original Birth Certificate. And my mother's family did not want to give me up. Yet here I am dealing with identity issues and depression because society wanted to punish both the mother and child. Thats a f'ing ugly and stupid way of dealing with a child. So you think there should be a second class of children who had the misfortune of being born out of wedlock? I hope you dont talk about the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. My rights have been cut in half because of that old policy of shame.

There are some things that are more important than your hurt feelings.

We now celebrate and subsidize single motherhood. The result is that more than 70% of black babies are born out of wedlock. For whites it is greater than 30%. That adds up to a lot of hurt for a lot of children. The moms are doing lousy as well.

By the way, my cousin is adopted. He is now in his 60s. He has never had any interest in finding his birth parents. He was a decorated war hero in Vietnam, has had a long and happy marriage, three great kids, and highly successful 35 year career as a civil engineer. His advice to whiny adults who were adopted as children would be, “ Grow some hair on your chest. Get over it!”

I bet he was sufficiently grateful to those who took away his real identity...thats all thats asked of those who are taken away from their family, isnt it? Just shut up and be grateful? How wonderful for you that he never showed ingratitude!!!

And Im sorry you dont have the compassion to understand the harm that adoption causes for so many people. Im sorry that you are incapable of understanding that children should never pay the price for the stupidity of their parents. Im sorry that you dont feel shame in taking away a person's identity.

Maybe you should just stay away from children all together?

Oh and one last thing, there are more important things in life than using children to satisfy the cultural and societal urges of people who are not genetically connected to the children. Children are not tabula rasa. They are not REWARDS for good behavior, capice?

What a jerk you are.
