- We have thoroughly defeated AQI and registered a humiliating defeat to al Qaeda that will pay dividends for years to come.
- We have helped Maliki thoroughly defeat Sadr and the Iranian influence to the point that they are now marginalized and despised by their would-be constituents.
- The Iraqis are tracking toward taking on more and more of the load of securing their own country.
What am I missing? Is this not victory?
