Good God! The man really IS unstable!

Not as unstable as the people who swallowed this media hype - very disheartening.

Even the majority of the Freepers in this thread are falling for the NewsMax fabrication - does no one think for themselves anymore? Is no one capable of reading comprehension or critical thinking anymore.

Bloomberg’s had three separate political affilations since 2001: Democrat, Republican, and Independent. Bloomberg is a lefty whore. McCain has to carry a couple good-sized Midwest states that Bush didn’t carry in order to win in November. He’s got to pick up Michigan and Pennsylvania (I know, purists out there say Pennsylvania is East, not Midwest; but, Penn State is part of the Big Ten, which is makes it Midwest as far as I’m concerned).

Actually, I heard it on the radio. As for News Max, I’m not all that familiar with it, but from what I’m hearing it sounds like it must be a supermarket tabloid.

As for McCain actually tapping Bloomberg, well, the guy has come up with some real hair-brained ideas, so nothing would surprise me with him.

I plan on voting for McCain in November. I appreciate, but do not agree with the dissenters here on Free Republic. A not infrequent occurence in my eight years here at FR. But if McCain even considers Bloomberg, if there is even a visit to the Sedona ranch I will write my own name on a written ballot before I vote for McCain.

It may not be Bloomberg but you can bet he'll be reaching across the aisle and picking someone of the same persuasion.

Newsmax, the most horsesh*t fabricating news site on the Internet.

Also, good luck trying to get off their mailing list.

A RINO who is just as bad as McCain himself.

Wrong, dude. Bloomberg makes McCain look like he's to the right of Ronald Reagan. Bloomberg may be a bit too liberal for Obama.

Hey McCainiacs, tell me again why voting for McCain is such a good idea?

And don’t bother me with the “He’s better than Obama” stuff.

Give me a set of reasons to vote for McCain, not against Obama, that outweigh his negatives.

Bloomberg? This is a joke right?

Such a choice would only further alienate the base (if there is anyone left who's not already alienated).

I don't know... journalists ask this kind of question all the time, and McCain just offered standard answers: "Mr.X has done a good job as a XXX"... "The state of XX could be served well"

Does it count as 'hinting to offer Bloomberg the job'? I would say no.

No kidding.

Not to defend McVain, but what the hell do people expect him to say? He is in New York where Bloomberg is very popular and trying to rally support. Is he really supposed to say that Bloomberg would be a terrible governor? I think not.
In the article, the only time he even mentioned anything about the veep nomination is when he was asked about, and his response was that he isn’t talk about that issue now. Don’t know how Newsmax takes a nothing comment like that and comes up with a headline that he is considering Bloomberg....

NewsMax isn't a total write off.

People are reacting to the headline because it sounds like something they think McCain would do.
