“Give me a set of reasons to vote for McCain, not against Obama, that outweigh his negatives.”

1. McCain will make the Bush tax cuts permanent.
2. McCain will not withdraw from Iraq until we win.
3. McCain will fight the terrorists and be strong on national security.
4. McCain would not appoint Hillary to the Supreme Court.
5. The only other reason I can give you to vote for McCain is that he is not Obama! I am not at all happy with McCain but will hold my nose and vote for him in November because Obama in the White House is unthinkable!

Please.... Newsmax sometimes jumps the shark trying to fabricate a scoop for headline purposes.
This is one of those times.

If John McCain nominates Mike Bloomberg, he can kiss a conservative turnout in November good-bye. No one will vote for a gun grabber and uber-liberal on the GOP ticket.

Excellent post!

I would have thought that Freepers would know better than to jump to conclusions simply from what they see written in a headline. I guess that actually reading the article, where McCain hinted at no such thing, is just too damn much to ask. It is exactly that kind of attitude that the MSM relies on to swindle the public, and it is unfortunately working.

This is BS. McCain has stated very clearly that he would find it near impossible to run with anyone but a pro-life VP candidate.

And he knows he needs someone younger than Bloomboob.

I was watching Morning Joe this morning, and they were all talking about the real possibility of this nightmare scenario.
I almost lost my breakfast during the segment.

‘“We don’t talk about our vice-presidential possibilities. But he added: “I appreciate Mayor Bloomberg enormously and the great job he’s done as mayor.”’

lol, I would hardly call that any kind of hint that McCain would consider pro-abortion, liberal Bloomberg.

How can a state whose eastern border is less than 100 miles from the Atlantic Ocean be considered Midwestern? Philadelphia is an Atlantic seaport. Western Pennsylvania is much more like Ohio than New Jersey, downstate New York, or Delaware in cultural and economic respects, but geography is what it is. You could argue that since Colorado’s eastern plains are similar to the High Plains of Nebraska and Kansas in cultural and economic respects, that state is Midwestern as well. A similar argument could be applied to eastern New Mexico, which is culturally and economically like West Texas and Oklahoma. However, no one would consider New Mexico a Southern or Border state.

McPain is doing everything under the sun to discourage voters who might be inclined to vote for him to do so.
