Let’s say you find someone you love. They have herpes. They had 1 or 2 boyfriends before you and one of them had it. Let’s say they kept it strictly to kissing and making out but they still got it. So when you get it, does that make you promiscuous, or are you being too resumptive in your rhetoric?
This isn’t HIV with a narrow transmission vector. This is a easily communicable virus attested to by it’s cousin being found in a large majority of Americans.

You are confusing genital herpes with cold sores. I’ve read that 65% of Americans have the herpes virus (the kind that causes cold sores or genital - they can be interchanged), but not everyone has outward symptoms.
