A city Health Department study finds that more than a fourth of adult New Yorkers are infected with the virus that causes genital herpes.

The study, released Monday, says about 26 percent of New York City adults have genital herpes, compared to about 19 percent nationwide.

HSV is a rather benign but annoying virus that actually afflicts millions of Americans. Moreso than those who knowingly have it. Usually the symptoms rarely if ever show so there is a lot of people with it that do not know. That’s for HSVII. HSVI most people have... ya know, fever blisters.
