PB is an idiot. And if you are acutaully Pro Life First like your screen name says, you would agree the war was necessary to save the Jews because they were being butchered by the tens of thousands, men, women and children. Old and young alike. Or are you only Pro Life First for any one that is not a Jew? I look forward to your answer.

One of the key lies in the book is the denial that the Nazis intended to kill the Jews — and only opted for the “final solution” when they couldn’t “merely” kick the Jews out of their country, take all their property, and businesses.

Yes, at though stripping Jews of their citizenship, employment and assets and expelling them from them home country isn't really something worthy of criticim. What leader wouldn't do that? And that all began six years before the shooting started. Many, not Pat, would say that was a warning sign of impending evil.

Buchanon and, to a lesser degree, James Baker are why my father (Scots Irish oilfield trash and proud) can never be a Republican -— “white shoe country clubbers who hate Jews and the working man” (direct quote).

He voted for two Republicans that I know of: Ike (who was his C.O.) and Ronald Reagan.

He’s been heavily conflicted here recently. McCain was an “admiral’s boy,” so that’s a big mark against him.

Pat was the genius behind Nixon’s wage and price controls.

Heard that Churchill is a gangster/warmonger stuff already from Goebbels and Axis Sally. Didn't buy it then, either.

Churchill is one of my heroes. PB is not.

Is you dad a Jewish redneck? I ask because I often cite those two for both the 70% reduction in the Jewish GOP vote from 88 to 92 (35% to 11%), as well as two of the reasons many Jews will not affiliate with the GOP.

Is there anyone out there who has read the book?

I was looking for someone who could give Buchanan a counter-argument that addresses the specifics of one or more of his points.

Makes you wonder how much of this “history” came out of drunken conversations at the Oval Office with Tricky!

“Yes, at though stripping Jews of their citizenship, employment and assets and expelling them from them home country isn’t really something worthy of criticism.”

Yep.

I’ve talked about this before; the only time I completely lose it (as in, I beat a couple of guys with a paving stone and went to jail in Germany for a weekend) are dealing with Nazis.

No idea why I react like this, but I flat out cannot control it. Someone here told me I am a reincarnated kid who was killed in the holocaust. Not sure I buy into that.

Regardless, I promise everyone here, if, by chance, I ever meet Pat Buchanon face-to-face, I am give his sorry ass a nice New Mexico oilfield driller beating.

(Not constructive, I know. But damn, won’t it be great?)

PB can be one of the clearest thinkers around, then he periodically goes off the deep end with stuff like this. The guy seems to have a fatal regard for nationalistic dictators and fascist ideology, and he flirts with antisemitism.

Stopped reading his columns long ago, wouldn’t even attempt his book, facts mean little to him.
