Tune in to Savage. He took the book to task Thursday/Friday.
Sure it was unnecessary...
after Japan bombed Pearl Harbor and the Germans declared war, we could have surrendered.
Give me a break.
Hilter?
Is that the gentle dictator in Pat Buchanan’s alternate universe, the one who would have been so easily appeased by simply swallowing up more territory from Czechoslovakia to Poland? Is that the dictator who did not really plan to carry out the entire “Mein Kampf” plan but was forced into it by dastardly western leaders who blundered into war by daring to draw a line and finally take a stand against Nazi Germany?
I have yet to see that PB has anything intelligent to say on these subjects, so please get back to us on why you think this book is worth reading and discussing. Life is too short to waste my time on Hitler/Fascism/Islam apologists and appeasers like Pat Buchanan.
One of the key lies in the book is the denial that the Nazis intended to kill the Jews — and only opted for the “final solution” when they couldn’t “merely” kick the Jews out of their country, take all their property, and businesses.
Candidly, it’s shocking at its revisionist nature, dependant on half-truths and a populace that had a publik skool education.
And people wonder why Jewish people don’t vote for Republicans. Buchanon — the MSM’s favorite conservative -— is Exhibit A.
Pat either doesn’t understand evil, or is evil himself and clothes his hatred with elaborate reasoning.
Pat never met a Nazi he didn’t like.
I was given it and started reading, I ended up skimming it after being disgusted with the first few pages. Buchanan’s lack of historical knowledge is not even funny any more.
All wars are unnecessary if you just give in to all the enemies demands.
Pat is the modern-day “Lord Haw Haw.”
All you need to know about Buchanan is that he’s MSNBC’s idea of a “Republican”.
Right on, it’s people like Buchanan and others, that supposedly have a sense of history and a brain that leads me to doubt that there’s any hope at all left. The one thing the Germans were meticulous about was entering data about their methodology and their intent. END OF STORY.
God save us from these damned wonky-headed pundits.
“Pat’s not a conservative. Never has been. The Donks and Libs may call him a conservative but its to benefit and enhance their own viewpoint.”
I agree, but the media props Pat up to give the “Republican” perspective in a debate.
It’s a complete set-up -— have this evil little troll be the face of the Republican party -— ergo, Republicans are Nazis like Pat.
Most people do not follow politics closely, so the average person on the street will equate Republcians with Nazi apologists like Pat Buchanon.
“Buchanans lack of historical knowledge is not even funny any more.”
Buchanan knows the truth; he just spins a half-truth because he’s never met a Nazi he didn’t like.
The foulness in that man soul must be very deep.
Buchanan hasn’t made sense to me for about a decade but I used to give him the benefit of doubt.
GB declared war on Germany 2 years BEFORE Pearl Harbor.
No, seriously, just imagine, we could all be living in a 1,000 year Third Reich paradise. Kinda kewl, doncha think?
