"Even John McCain, a cap-and-trade original co-sponsor, now says that this scheme won't fly until China and India sign on – which could be never."

Isn't it amazing that the Indian and Chinese leaders have more scientific knowledge than the Democrat (and Democrat Wannabee) leaders in congress.

Back in the 1970s I can recall June temperatures in the 90s close to 100 but then they were talking about the coming ice age. So far this year it’s been relatively cool, with temperatures at night still requiring a blanket but the alarmists say we’re on the verge of a global warmup so catastrophic that the pole ice is going to melt, causing ocean levels to rise. I just wish these creeps would dry up and blow away.

When did he say this? I’ve only heard him say that he thought America should lead in this. I didn’t think he cared one way or another if China or India entered into this agreement.

they cant ignore the cooling trend

The natural foliage is looking very weak this year. The garden is a fenced off piece of dirt where the snow finally melted. Looks like this year will be as non-productive as last year, which was a total bust.

And the irony is the alarmist actually think warmer temperatures, more rain, and more CO2 is actually a bad thing. I guess they don't stop to think about how their food is grown.

Almost no sunspots since the begining of 2006. Pretty much dovetails with the start of the current surface temp cooling trend we've been experiencing since that time. Very unusual for the sun to be this magnetically quiet, even during a normal solar minimum. The sun is the main driver of our climate, and a miniscule change in solar output can have a large impact on our atmosphere and surface tempurature.

It's amazing to me that so many in the concensus global warming scientific cabal try so hard to minimize that fact. They instead toss out the red herring of ocean current change as a cause rather than an affect. In my opinion these 'scientists' want to set policy more than they want to practice science...follow the money.
