Seems that some maggot infested hippy types were harassing a young soldier in uniform on the subway. Suddenly this old geezer of WWII vintage jumped between the long hair protesters and the soldier, stuck his finger down his throat and upchucked his breakfast on the leader of the jerk squad, turned around and saluted the soldier. Great story. ;-)

Good story! Hopefully, everyone will remember that not all of us longhairs are the anti-war, America hating type. Take a good look at nearly any photo of the Patriot Guard Riders, and you will see that many (if not most) of us are vets who choose to be a little shaggy after a career of "high and tights".

I also believe that when we are not representing the PGR, we tend to be less tolerant of idiots who disrespect our Service people. Let the fools keep it up. One of these days the WRONG longhair is gonna be present... and it's gong to get really ugly for the protester.

They ought to pass a law that says that a service member under verbal or physical assault while peaceably going about his business may respond by pounding the crap out of the offending party.

It's ironic that there IS a law in the Washington DC public transportation system (and in NYC I believe) which makes it a major crime to harass a public transit employee. Yet we don't have similar laws in place to protect our men and women in uniform...sigh

I have gotten very similar experiences too, many thanks from many people. Very few have called (liberals most likely)resorted to name calling, and harrasment.
