Been listening to C2C for years. Richard Hoagland is pretty easy to deconstruct. For those who don’t know, he’s the face-on-Mars guy. Hoagland is resentful towards the mainstream scientific community because he is not educated in any scientific discipline whatsoever, and has been derided and drummed out of any scientific discussion for his outlandish makes-you-prove-a-negative type of claims. He spends most of his time deriding mainstream science, and claiming persecution for being so damned right. The hubris just drips from him. He’s pretty talented in the area of stringing together various scientific buzzwords that happen to be in vogue at the moment, and making it sound almost plausible. But in the end, he has no idea what he’s talking about.

You mean there are really no glass pyramids on the moon?
Well put. In that presentation he gave in the room he rented at the UN, Hoagland first explained how the “face” had to be artificial because of its high degree of symmetry, then he followed it with a tour de force nonsequitur regarding how the two halves don’t match, that when each is mirrored with itself, it produces a different image (i.e., it isn’t symmetrical).
Yeah, sure. Go easy on him.. but I'll tell the damaging stuff. He worked closely with Walter Cronkite -- and likes the guy!
