Assuming, of course, that I wasn't yelling at Sen. George Voinovich of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. And I wouldn't be too sure that the testimony of Wilson - a "contractor" of the Executive Branch - didn't appear subject to an Executive Branch classification of his testimony. Perhaps it isn't as cut and dried as you think. But thank you for pointing it out so politely. /s

The point is that those privy to the secret testimony have said point blank that Wilson's public statements contradict his secret testimony. That Wilson continues to hide behind a shield of secrecy when a redacted release of his testimony would end this national bloodletting - look, you KNOW DAMN WELL the rats are using this as a campaign tool - is just plain stupid.

Nice attempt at a cover story, only it doesn't wash. Voinovich is neither the chairman nor ranking member of the SFRC. He has zero power to declassify anything. Now, he could do what too many others in DC do, and sneakily leak it, but that isn't what you were yelling about.

And I wouldn't be too sure that the testimony of Wilson - a "contractor" of the Executive Branch - didn't appear subject to an Executive Branch classification of his testimony.

Ah...you "wouldn't be too sure," but you don't know. Therein lies the rub. Playing the knee-jerk blame game (especially when the blame is misplaced) may be fun, but it has a cumulatively destructive effect.

Appreciating sarcasm requires too subtle of a sense of humor and too much of an awareness of the facts for some around here to grasp.

There seem to be far too many knee-jerk conservatives...reactors rather than thinkers...on FreeRepublic these days.
